My family and I came here on 1/24/2026 around 1:30 PM being huge fans of Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars and after seeing this spot on Instagram Reels. We were greeted by an Asian gentleman and liked the branding, but the experience didn’t live up to the hype.

The food was just “okay”—not terrible, but there are definitely better options in the area. Having been to South Korea and Japan, I expected more. The noodles were fine but under-seasoned, and the sweet and sour pork had almost no flavor if you didn’t have the sauce on it. We also ordered the dumplings and wings, but they were nothing to write home about. It is pricey for what it is, but at least the portions are a good size for sharing.

The most concerning part, however, was the hygiene. Toward the end of our meal, my wife was shocked to see one of the kitchen staff (Latino male) licking raw chicken wings. He realized she saw him and immediately tried to hide. Additionally, the woman working the floor (Latina) had a visible runny nose and was wiping it with her bare hands, then immediately went back to clearing tables and handling items without washing her hands or using sanitizer.

I am Latino myself, and my family eats in Duluth/Gwinnett every weekend, but I believe we have to hold each other accountable. Between it being peak flu season and the raw meat situation, this is a serious health concern. I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but management needs to address this immediately. We won’t be back.

Ordered one my favorite Korean dishes, jjamppong, although the portion was great and the udon noodles were extremely soft, there was absolutely zero flavor and a bitter after-taste. I was hoping due to the mixed reviews, I would be one of the lucky ones who had an amazing dish but unfortunately that was not the case… I couldn’t even force myself to finish the plate, I felt undoubtedly horrible for leaving the plate almost half full but I wouldn’t have been able to finish that. Although i definitely don’t recommend the jjamppong here, I see high reviews about the chicken, i recommend trying that instead.

I initially planned to order from Zoong Guk Jib, but since they were unavailable on Uber, I decided to try Paik, which appeared prominently on the platform—possibly as a sponsored listing.
Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The sweet and sour pork entrée was priced at $21.99 plus tax, reflecting a significant markup compared to in-store pricing. The portion size was quite small, served in a paper rice container, and did not feel proportionate to the price. In addition, the overall quality and flavor were underwhelming.

While I understand that delivery platforms often involve higher pricing, the combination of elevated cost, limited portion size, and disappointing taste made the order feel overpriced and not a good value.

I got the jjajangmyeon, chili jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and tangsuyuk.

The noodles from the jjajangmyeon were too firm which I didn’t like. The chili jjajangmyeon was pretty bland. The tangsuyuk was decent, but I wouldn’t order it again. The jjamppong was the best out of all the food we ordered. I couldn’t even finish my jjajangmyeon. I was pretty disappointed because I’ve visited this franchise before at San Jose, so I thought they’d be the same and I was so wrong. I don’t know if I would return here!

We came for the Jajamyeon but we keep coming back for the wings and beer!

If you have ever had Korean Fried Chicken with a Terra then this is the place to go. If you’ve never had Korean Fried Chicken with a Terra then you NEEEED to go this place.

Side bar – I left my purse and walked out and the amazing man that is always working the counter sprinted down the parking lot to catch us!

Casual self-serve restaurant with a limited menu. If you’re expecting top-notch customer service, this may not be the right place for you. The noodles are decent, though not particularly memorable. The garlic soy wings are extremely crunchy and packed with flavor—but they are also quite salty, which might not be for everyone.

This restaurant is named after the well-known chef and entrepreneur from Korea, Jong-Won Paik. It’s self-service; you order using the Kosk system and pick up side dishes, utensils, water, and food yourself. Because of this, tipping isn’t required.
The restaurant was clean, and the food came out quickly, which was perfect for us for a long drive ahead.
As for the taste: the Sweet and Sour Pork (탕수육) was average—not impressive but not disappointing either. The Jjamppong (짬뽕) was flavorful with plenty of ingredients, making it enjoyable. However, the Shrimp Fried Rice (새우볶음밥) needs improvement, as the rice was too soft and lacked the firm, chewy texture that makes fried rice appealing.
I gave it 5 stars overall, but I think some foods could definitely be improved.

I keep coming back to Paik’s Noodle, and for good reason! The food tastes fantastic, the service is incredibly fast, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. As a self-service spot, it’s convenient and efficient, but I do wish they would remove the tip option during self-pay checkout—it feels unnecessary for this setup. Aside from that minor detail, everything about this place is excellent. Definitely worth a visit for delicious and quick Korean-Chinese cuisine!

We had the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk (with sauce on side). They were all very delicious. Love that they have a self-serve bar for the danmuji (yellow pickled radish), onions, etc. so you don’t have to keep bothering the servers for more Everhthing came out fairly quick. It’s a self-service type of restaurant where you order at a kiosk and pick up your food, so can’t really say too much about service but the overall atmosphere and food were great!!
