Phenomenal service, phenomenal food. You really get your bang for your buck. My favorite appetizer was the Black Rose, the sauce and texture were so yummy, perfectly savory and crispy. Our server has the sweetest, kindest soul. My boyfriend’s entree had miso included, mine didn’t, so she gave me miso soup on the house. She also gave us two rolls extra on the house. My boyfriend’s only complaint was the selection isn’t as big as most other sushi places. Overall loved the experience, the food just kept coming, and we left with our bellies full and happy hearts.

Stopped by on a whim. We got the teriyaki chicken and the unagi don (special of the day). Both dishes came with miso soup.

Best sushi I’ve had in many years, if not one of my favorite of all time! The owner was super friendly and informative and the food was amazing. The portions were almost as big as the flavors in everything we had….down to the smallest detail of chopping the ginger into manageable bites. First time Ive had a baked roll (The Volcano), SO good. Love this place and can’t wait to go back!

From all the great reviews, I had high expectations for the sushi. However, the experience was mediocre at best. Ordered 4 different deep fried rolls which ended up all looking the same. The quality of the fish also looked like canned tuna. Otherwise, service was great. The server was very helpful.

Me and my significant other are avid sushi eaters around Spokane. Otori Sushi are the new kids on the block, so it was only a matter of time for us to come enjoy it. We ate 3 rolls, the California, the Red Dragon, and named for the restaurant, Otori roll. I haven’t ever previously had a California roll served hot, but I was pleasantly surprised by it’s amazing texture that is reminiscent of a warm biscuit. Much like the California, the Red Dragon Roll was prepared differently than I had ever had before. It was like meeting an old friend with new clothes, it has a new spin on it. Finally, standing out to me, the Otori roll. This was a wonderful roll that bites back at you. It has a bold spicy salmon, with a tangy red onion dressing the top of the roll. To say simply, this took me by surprise, as it was a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. It’s simple appearance masks the complex and loud flavors it’s ingredients present. This is true as well for the restaurants appearance. The menu is simple as the walls are, plain and to the point. I am sure that such flavorful and interesting food will not hide for long behind such a simple abode. This place screams for an exciting theme and I can’t wait to see what it will become.

Utori/Otori Sushi is delicious! Prices are pretty fair with the large cuts of fish for the nigiri. Service is extremely friendly and the whole place is very clean and well laid-out.

We met some old friends last night here, The services was excellent. The foods is probably the best sushi I’ve had in Spokane. The fish was fresh and succulent it was like Spokane was near the ocean. It was apparent that the chef only used the freshest ingredients. Our friends were really impressed with the service and food. They came all the way from North Carolina and said this made their trip. Would recommend to any sushi lover in Spokane.

Complementary edamame with dinner was a nice surprise. Big portions of fish on the nigiri sushi. Green tea was served in a big mug and was cloudy and flavorful. Beautiful presentation for the roll and a tasty palette cleanser salad.

Wow!!! I had the Otori roll and the salmon skin hand roll. The salmon roll was the best ever: a generous portion of tasty, super crunchy salmon skin, veggies and light dressing that let the flavors blend and shine! IMO its hard to get this simple roll just right and they nailed it. I found the Otori roll to be a delicate balance of spicy salmon and super light dressing. Beautiful presentation but so good I didn’t get a picture.
