Reviews
We chose Oscar’s to kick off my mother’s birthday year and couldn’t have picked a better place.
Pascal clearly runs a professional, thoughtful and welcoming outfit. The restaurant is very reasonably priced, not overpriced, and that care shows in every detail
The restaurant is wonderfully cosy, so pre-booking is definitely recommended. On New Year’s Eve we were seated downstairs, which added to the warm, celebratory feel ️
Starters set the tone beautifully. My husband and father had the Moules à la Crème, my mother and I the divine broccoli soup, and my brother and sister-in-law the pâté. All absolutely spot on
For mains, my father and brother shared the Aubrey Allen dry-aged rib-eye on the bone for two. Outstanding quality and cooked perfectly. Three of us chose the exceptional confit duck leg with spiced red cabbage, fondant potato and red wine sauce. We could have been in Paris My mother had the pork belly, which she loved.
Desserts were equally memorable. Crème brûlée, apple crumble, and a generous cheese board for the chaps featuring Bleu des Causses and 30-month aged Comté with quince paste and biscuits
From the food to the atmosphere to the service, it was a truly special evening. We will absolutely be back ❤️
I think the peppercorn sauce and the onion salad was was probably the best thing about it.
The food is delicious and the atmosphere magic.
Excellent value for money!
We had rump and ribeye steak. The steaks, fries and salad was all incredibly well made and had wonderful portions.
We were served promptly, despite a busy Friday night. The tables are quite close to each other but it does add to an intimate atmosphere.
I would love to go again and bring guests.
Staff were nice and helpful, quick on their feet!
10/10… Very, very good. Punches above its weight.
The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and respect of allergies and the selection on the menu was brilliant.
I had the sirloin steak from Aubrey Allen, and my partner had the pork. The French cheese board to finish was very special, too.
Well he back.
