This restaurant, slightly off the beaten track, doesn’t have live music…just good food and drinks and friendly service. We had a delicious dinner. My partner’s burger was perfectly done medium rare. My Shrimp jambalaya was excellent, and the bread pudding for dessert – big enough to share – was TDF. Friendly service. Rhonda, the manager, was attentive. Oh, and, the Cajun bloody Mary was perfectly spicy.

I come to the Original Pierre Maspero’s every trip I make to New Orleans just for the French onion soup – it is the best I’ve had!

This is a very nice and cool looking place but the food was definitely not good. My friend got chicken and waffles and the waffle tasted almost as if it was raw and had an odd taste as well. I got the 2 egg breakfast and the bread was just regular store bread and the whole meal had nothing special to it. We were all disappointed with our meals. My friend was charged for hash browns which never came out to us.

Keeping in mind that you are in the French Quarter, food is quite delicious and reasonably priced. I was born and raised in NO and eat here often. I highly recommend this place for great New Orleans style food! Loved the pistolettes, the “pot pie”, and the shrimp remoulade….

The workers were super nice . The chicken and waffle was greatly cooked but the chicken was flavorless so I gave it a 3 star.

Just effing great… plain and simple. Fun little spot, very good food. I definitely recommend the French onion soup and the shrimp and grits. They’re friendly and fun, and it’s in a great location in the French quarter. Hearty food that’ll satisfy any time of day in the way it looks, smells and tastes.

Part of my first trip to New Orleans series! My friends and I wanted creole cuisin, so we decided on this place! Very nice vibe and atmosphere. Staff friendly and hospitable. I have a shellfish allergy, so I ordered the chicken & andouille sausage gumbo soup bowl! YUM!! Just the right amount of heat for this Chef!! Served with warm bread. I chose to have water cause I needed to rehydrate from the heat! My friends enjoyed their hurricane drinks! For dessert, I had the bread pudding with extra caramel sauce! EXCELLENT! Best I EVER had including my own! Definitely recommend!

I had the pleasure of visiting Original Pierre Maspero’s recently, and it was an absolute delight. The seafood was superb, from the succulent shrimp to the delicate flaky fish, every single bite was pure perfection. The atmosphere was great too, with a relaxed but lively vibe that made for a fun and enjoyable experience. But the best part of my visit was the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Highly recommended!

Standard French Quarter atmosphere, I’m always completely in awe of how long these restaurants have been in business and the masses they have fed. Only a 5 min wait when many places around were over 1 hr. We came for breakfast at noon, they serve it till 4p. We ordered the andouille sausage and eggs w hashbrowns, cajun omelet and coffee. Wait staff was very experienced and helpful. The coffee is served in a 4 oz cup and at first I was thinking wow that’s small. However that coffee was at least French roast if not espresso roast. Strong and I was feeling it by the 2nd cup. My eggs w sausage was very rich in a good way. Didn’t look that impressive but the gravy on top of the eggs and the potatoes mixed in was fabulous. I ate it with the dry toast and was very happy. The omelet was well presented and perfectly prepared, nice chunks of andouille sausage and red peppers were delicious. Grits on the side didn’t even need any help, they were great just how they were served. Overall this was a hit experience and made me happy considering we thought we were out of luck getting a quick breakfast on a Saturday in New Orleans.
