I visited here for the first time, and loved the whole experience. I thought this captain ✈️ theme is very cute and the food is great. They have fast service, generous portion(especially for the meat), and very reasonable price. I ordered crispy chicken salad and my husband ordered fried fish sandwich. We both loved it. I also liked about how fresh their ingredients are. A friend of mine ordered their famous cheese steak sub and it looked yum. (And look at their meats!!! We were so full and satisfied! ) Must try if you are in Baltimore area!!!!

The food is actually pretty good here, we’ve been coming here for a long time, even before it changed owners, opening up the other side was an tremendous improvement and an excellent idea ! 🙂 much better atmosphere and definitely more room to sit down and actually eat ! 🙂 the atmospheres much better, the average cost to eat here is about $23 to $26 per couple ,no matter what you pick on the menu but they’re decent portions with quality ingredients, the sodas that come with the meals are a little small but adequate 🙂

Growing up in this area, Captain Harvey’s always had the best cheesesteaks in all of Baltimore County. I moved away a long time ago, but on this Saturday I was passing through Dundalk and thought I’d stop. The cheesesteak was much smaller, lighter and a bit dryer than I’d remember, but it still had a good flavor on an excellent roll. The dining area – which wasn’t there the last time I was – was closed because of Covid. Years ago this place always had a run-down feeling to it, and that hasn’t changed. But there was always an “energy” about Captain Harvey’s. The energy is gone now. I know, everything changes. Still a pretty good sub though.

The service was very friendly and quick. My fries were hot and fresh and tasty and my coke was perfect. Now the cheesesteak. I only ordered a half and I’m glad I did because that was a lot. There is a very good quantity of meat on this sandwich, which is why I would highly recommend ordering extra cheese. There’s so much meat that just the ordinary amount of cheese is not sufficient. The roll is ok for this region. A bit too soft for a cheese steak but it was good and fresh. It just doesn’t hold up to the meat and moisture from the onions. While there is plenty of meat on the sandwich, they unfortunately don’t season it at all so it’s very bland. You can try to salt and pepper it when you are served but that’s best done before and during cooking unfortunately. The entire shopping center has a post apocalypse vibe like most of Baltimore. The shop is pretty old and rundown so if you don’t find old holes in the wall charming then this place isn’t for you, hon!

It’s just not the same!!! I used to drive over an hour to get sub’s for me and my fellow workers cuz they couldn’t believe the size of the sub and amount of steak it was barely able to hold. I couldn’t even finish a half a few years back. What I bought last Saturday was not a Captain Harvey Sub. It was a good sub but I’m sorry to say the captains ship has sailed. So if you are expecting a trip down memory lane and or to prove to the non believers of how big the subs are………. Don’t do it! Good sub but definitely not any Capt Harvey I grew up knowing! RIP Original Captain! You are truly missed!………Matt

The sandwich I had here was fantastic. Very authentic and far better than any chain sub shop I have ever tried. The employees were very friendly and made sure I was having a good time. The tables and counters inside were very clean. I was very impressed that they always prepare for fresh meat and bread along with great friendly service. Good place to bring young children, and groups of people. I was definitely satisfied with my meal, and I would recommend this place to others.
