Third time IS the charm. I have gone to Opus three times now and the last two visits everything has been practically sold out and picked over. There is a reason for this!! And it’s a good one.
Their pastries and breads are DIVINE. From flaky perfection found in their croissants, homemade jam toppings on their danishes, stuffed with an array of semi-sweet creams, and the delight of also finding savory and sweet flavor combinations, there is always something to look forward to.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VISITING BEFORE 10AM, based from my own previous experiences.
It is 100% worth getting up early and stopping by. Now if only they sold coffee or tea! I cannot praise this little bakery more and the people behind it.

I love their selection of breads and pastries. They use high quality ingredients, and you can taste them. Banana pecan bourbon danish, mushroom havarti croissant, and their classic sourdough are some of my favorites, and the best part is that they always have new & inventive flavors to try. I ask for a suggestion when I have trouble deciding

Wow. Period. As a professional baker who loves laminated dough (think croissants, with layers) I give this place 5 stars. The products were not sweet but we could actually taste the fruits (lemon raspberry was the best filling I’ve ever had) We enjoyed the savory danish as well. I enjoyed the nuttiness of the dough, I’m guessing there is a whole wheat component? The danish seemed like it was the same dough as the croissants, I didn’t feel there was egg or diary and sugar added to dough. I guess I was expecting to have croissant dough for croissants and danish dough for Danish. Regardless, ALL were excellent. The loaf of bread we brought home was very good too. This is quality bakery folks…up to European standards for sure. We enjoyed it all so much we told some relatives in the area for the same event we were in town for to detour and get some stuff here. They did and were also pleased. Kudos!

How have I not known about this place before?! Truly a gem. The inside is very small , it’s an order and take back home kind of place but man the variety of pastries and breads they have! I had the Kabocha snail and it was phenomenal. You can definitely tell the time and skill they have making baked goods. It shows in the presentation and flavors. This will be added to my list of places to stop by and encourage friends and family to try out when in town!

I really appreciate your working with Meadowlark Organics and have loved learning to bake & making my pantry really come alive with the help of their monthly grain share!
I got one of each baked goods today from your pastry case…
You’ve given me deeply joyful reason and inspiration to organize, share with neighbors, get out into nature and much more. Congrats on handling the mob with grace and joy.
