Arrived 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday morning. That was my fault for not checking the schedule, but they didn’t mind a bit. Got 2 eggs scrambled bacon grits and toast. Cooked perfectly, and in less than 10 minutes. Waitress was extremely nice.

I was with the Person County Needleworkers Group with whom I am apart of. Some of them had Breakfast Food, Bologna Sandwich with Fries and others had Beef Liver with Onions & Gtavy, Squash, Cream Patotoes, Okra ECT.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast and it was great. Good home cooked food! The pancake was delicious and was the same size as the plate it was served on. The fried bologna and scrambled eggs with cheese were cooked to perfection. My hubby had the salmon cakes and eggs and he thought it was great. They also make corn pudding and rice pudding which we ordered as a takeout for later. The staff were super nice and friendly. We will be making Open Kettle a regular stop for breakfast and lunch.

After seeing good reviews on Open Kettle l, I hate leaving a bad one but it was awful. We arrived at 10:00 am and they were closing at 11 am. We were seated and drinks were brought immediately We then proceeded to wait 15 mins for our waitress to come to take our order. 3 different women were walking around in a restaurant where most people were either finished eating or getting up to leave. We finally got our order placed (gravy biscuit and Hash browns and fried eggs/toast/bacon) nothing complicated. It took 40 mins to get our food and it was room temp when it came out(my gravy had skin on top). We felt like we had to eat rushed since they were closing.

We are finishing up a girls weekend. Happened into Open Kettle and so glad we did. The staff is so friendly the food is good, and you can’t beat the prices.
