Hands down the best Greek food in the area! I happily drive over an hour because it’s worth every mile. The flavors are authentic, fresh, and perfectly executed. Everything I’ve ordered has been outstanding, from the classics to whatever daily special catches my eye. If you’re craving real Greek cuisine, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend! You literally can’t go wrong here!”

It’s my third time coming here and I always love coming! Me and my mom came last week. We didn’t get them this time but the stuffed grape leaves this time, but they are delicious! This time me and my mom got the Alibaba which was delicious especially because we couldn’t decide between gyro and falafel. I recommend. I do think it could use something because it just tastes like they should be something maybe tzatziki. I don’t know. Otherwise everything was great, the workers are nice and welcoming it’s a quieter restaurant, at least when we were there. The inside has simple decor nothing crazy and it’s a cute, easy, and yummy little place to go when you’re on a trip and want a bite. Definitely recommend and I will be coming back!

Opa Greek Bistro Kingston N.Y when Opa opened several year’s ago the food was consistent, fresh, large portion, delicious. Now several years forward , I have been disappointed on many occasions, the service is slow, wait staff lack attentiveness, professionalism. Some days the food is a hit or miss ,food is not consistent and quality has diminished gyro at times is dry, salmon doesn’t taste as fresh as it should and salad lacks greek vinegar and spices.the portions are extremely small. In this day as a restaurant owner you want to keep your regular customer, we customer expect consistent fresh delicious food no matter, even if inflation occurs, restaurant must be consistent and provide delicious experience. My family is extremely disappointed ,a restaurant should not have miss or hit experience.

Food was excellent and I want to go back! I highly recommend getting the Greek iced coffee. It was frothy and strong and tasted amazing. We also ordered the dip appetizer. It’s not listed as such on the menu but I recommend getting the babaganoush in place of the ‘red caviar salad’. It’s some of the best babaganoush I’ve tried, but wish the portion size was larger (or cost less, it was $17). I don’t even like dolma/grape leaves that much but even they were great. I recommend the Horiatiki (village) salad to share. A spoonful of that salad to accompany your meal adds a wonderful fresh component. The gyro was flavorful, pita was soft, and the meat was tender enough for my 15 month old to eat it easily.
Overall, food tasted fresh with great flavor and our server was phenomenal. We had a high chair in the back corner near the restroom. It’s a smaller place and I don’t know how handicapped friendly it is as the bathroom is small (there’s 2 doors to get to it, a wheelchair wouldn’t fit) and a single unisex stall. We brought cash so we didn’t have to pay the surcharge for using a credit card. Serving sizes aren’t huge and left us wanting a little more for the cost but I still want to go back because it was delicious.
If the owner is reading this, please don’t skimp on portion sizes. Especially the dip appetizer? More food should come with that, it is not enough and we quickly ate it. If it wasn’t somewhat pricey, I would have ordered a second one.

This place is awesome! The gyros are amazing. We got the frappe and it was very strong in the best way. My friend was very pleased with the cyclops burger. The moussaka felt very traditional. The Greek salad was wonderful and the entrees came with a very nice triangle of feta. The staff was extremely attentive, kind, and respectful. The wait times were extremely reasonable as well. Absolutely go and try Opa! They are a bit on the more expensive side but very worth it.

I have always ordered gyros from here but haven’t ordered in awhile since moving to Catskill. I was in town and desired to order. First, when I called I thought I had called the wrong number because the lady who answered the phone just said hello and didn’t acknowledge the name of the restaurant. My next disappointment came when I bit into the gyro. The bread was so hard and the meat seemed old. I was definitely disappointed! I have never had this experience in the past.

First time at Opa! and I was not impressed. I felt excited when I saw the Gyro meat on the spit but that was premature. So I got a Gyro for takeout. First of all, it would have been nice to include a napkin with my order, alas. I will say that the pita was very generously stuffed with meat, however, it was quite dry and many pieces were cut way too thick. Also, it was unusually salty, so I was glad I got some extra tzatziki sauce without which it might not have been edible.
My best guess is that gyros have not been a hot seller today and the meat kind of dried out on the spit, also concentrating the saltiness. Oh well, I can cross this place off my list.

Fantastic! The closest thing to eating in Greece that I’ve come across. Home made recipes, flavors, and hospitality you can only find in the Agean sea. I couldn’t stop eating, that’s when you know it’s great.
