Sat outside and had a very attentive server. The food we ordered was above our expectations. Everything was phenomenal and would eat it again. The only thing I would say, was the cole slaw dressing in the chicken sandwich made it very messy to eat. In my opinion, I would recommend that on the side. The french fries were really good.

Come on my Irish peeps. Season your food more and it would be PERFECT! Such a cool Irish pub. Probably the coolest and most legit one I’ve been to other than McGuires. They actually season their food! Their menu is firee with lots of options and the Irish classics! Great and friendly service! Manager hisself checked on us and welcomed us in. Live music outside seating with patio and a view!

The experience at Galway was pretty good. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular, and perhaps just a little above average. The fish and chips were okay. The fish did come out hot, and it was fresh tasting but it was also a tad bland. I’m not a big fan of salt, but it definitely needed more. The chips were a big disappointment. They were cut so thin there wasn’t much potato in there between the crispy outer parts…. The coleslaw was bad. I’ve never had coleslaw that had such a strong taste of onion. I only had one bite, as did my companion. It was probably the worst coleslaw I’ve ever had.

Drinks were definitely on the high end in prices. 20 bucks for a chocolate type martini? That’s too high. Nine bucks for a draft of Guinness. Overall, just an average experience.

Service was efficient and friendly.

Great find in Gulf shores, not the typical tourist trap. Not the cheapest place in the area a little on the pricier side, but a great value for the quality of food and service received. Service was excellent, not overbearing, inattentive, or rude. Frozen Irish coffees were perfect. The pretzel with beer cheese and curry mustard was probably the best we’ve ever had. The lamb chops were excellent, my wife, who usually doesn’t care for lamb even liked them. The fish and chips was almost as good as what you would get in the UK, came out hot and crisp but didn’t maintain the crispness of the real deal. Our only complaint is that everything on the menu looked so good and we would love to go back and try something else.

My husband and I absolutely loved everything about our visit to The Galway! The food was out of this world! We loved everything we ordered but the St. Patty melt was our favorite by far. So much flavor and a great portion size. Also, the atmosphere and service were spot on.

Great to have an Irish pub in biking distance from the Gulf State Park! Proper pint of Guinness, roasted brussel sprouts and some wings. Their take on an espresso martini was tasty!

Tucked away from the usual seafood-heavy options in the area, this local pub delivers a refreshing and memorable change of pace. The moment you step inside, the warm glow of the fireplace and the inviting mix of bar seating and casual tables set the tone for a relaxed, homey experience. The Irish flare is subtle but charming, giving the place a character that feels both familiar and unique.

The food easily matches the atmosphere. The Bangers and Mash arrived as a generous, hearty plate packed with rich, comforting flavor—exactly what you hope for in a classic pub dish. On the other side of the table, the chicken pot pie was a hit, with a satisfying blend of savory filling and flaky crust that made it clear the kitchen takes pride in its comfort food staples.
If you’re looking to step away from the usual coastal fare and settle into something warm, flavorful, and soul-soothing, this pub is absolutely worth the visit. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, savoring both the food and the atmosphere.

I stopped Tuesday for a Scotch Egg. I had 3 reasons for this; 1. They are one of a very few places that makes it with a soft boiled egg, 2. I have had it before and really like it & 3. It is served on the best cabbage and carrot slaw on the planet! Unfortunately, when the bartender delivered it, the egg was hard boiled. When I showed it to the bartender, he said “Sorry. I will let the kitchen know.” That was it. They didn’t meet their menu description and the response was “Sorry”. Then when the check came, full charge for the Scotch Egg they failed on. It’s still a great place, and the food is usually good, it was just disappointing how they handled their failure.

Amazing experience! Food was very delicious. Some of the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. All of our meals were very good. One of my top recommendations in the area now for those who want a switch up from seafood.

the Galway is amazing from the food to the service. I keep coming back to this place over and over instead of trying anything new. Cocktails you can always count on them being 10/10 and the wings I order them every time!
