Just my Take on the Bun Bo Hue.
Alright, so I recently hit up Banh Mi Che Cali Bakery & Restaurant #6068, and I wanted to share my thoughts, especially since I tried their Bun Bo Hue.
First off, the Bun Bo Hue cost me $10. The broth tasted really good – savory and flavorful. Honestly, I enjoyed the soup a lot. The only thing was, it was missing a few of the typical ingredients I usually find in Bun Bo Hue. I’m talking about the pork blood cubes, pig’s feet, and pork balls. I know, not everyone’s cup of tea, but I personally like those additions.
Even with those items missing, I still thought the soup was delicious, and for just $10, I felt like I got good value. It’s a solid option if you’re looking for a tasty and affordable noodle soup.
Beyond the Bun Bo Hue, the restaurant itself was pretty nice. It’s spacious and clean, which is always a plus. They’re also really well-known for their banh mi, and they have this great deal where you can buy 2 and get 1 free. Plus, they have a bunch of other Vietnamese treats and dishes that looked really tempting. I’m definitely planning on trying some of those out next time.
Overall, if you’re looking for good food at a reasonable price, especially if you’re trying to be budget-conscious, Banh Mi Che Cali #6068 seems like a solid spot. They offer good value for what you pay.

Food makes me feel right at home. Been so long since I’ve had great food. Taste like my grandma cooked it cause somebody grandma cooked it. I love the food and the people here. I order 52 and 57 made fresh. They have more dessert across next building same company. I only made this review because I saw others saying bad things about people who work very hard. Medang

I’ve been coming here for years and would even drive out here from the IE. During my latest visit I had my banh mi order thrown on the table and the workers started assuming I was trying to get an extra chicken pho when they were the ones that only brought out the first part of my order. The second half of my order was placed on a different table and I sat waiting for it for 30 minutes before going to ask and then they found it at a different table. One of the workers grabbed the bag with the banh mi and threw it on our table. She walked away while giving us a nasty look. Unfortunately I will no longer visit this location. The staff is sometimes friendly while others are not but the food is always good but after this last visit I will not be coming here.

They don’t know how to get orders correct. I asked for 3 sandwiches and got 2. The first and the last time. Plus, their kitchen is dirty and gross. They need to start cleaning.

I would sue this place if I could. First of all, there are flies everywhere, flying around the food! It’s disgusting! I told the cashier up front that there were flies on the food they’re serving to customers, and she couldn’t care less. Second, she completely messed up my order by adding fish, even though I never said I wanted it. I never like fish and its smell so I couldn’t eat it, but instead of fixing the order, she just kept removing the fish. Such a disrespectful and ignorant attitude! I used to eat here every day, but now the whole place disgusts me. Avoid this place at all costs!

Very rude cashier. She kept snickering at me and making comments to other employee while she was taking my order. I ordered a side of rice and two Thai teas and when I received my order it was not correct. When I brought it to her attention she threw a side of white rice on the counter near me and proceeded to grab it with her dirty hands expecting me to take it. She kept arguing with me about what I ordered even though me and my companion used Google translator. We were not the only ones she was rude to. Other patrions were complaining about how rude she was as well. As for the food only the baguette was good the rest of ours meas was horrible like the rest of our experience there. Soup was nothing but mushy huge chunks overcooked potatoes and carrots.

I eat here often. Guess you could call me a regular. The Pho is very flavorful. I can eat it anytime of the day, and I often do. It’s not just the flavor, it’s the ritual of tearing the fresh Basil and breaking the jalapeno into bite size pieces to spice it up to my liking. Breaking open the chopsticks to stir the noodles into the steaming broth. Then I blend the Sriracha with the sweet teriyaki on the plate to dip my chicken. The routine is satisfying and slow paced for my enjoyment. Sipping the broth and slurping the noodles is so satisfying. I forget I’m in a country who’s politics have created so much division. It’s my sanctuary. I love this place.

Okay coming from the west side of LA this spot is a gem. I can’t find a banh mi on the west side for less than 12 dollars a pop and not only are they 5 bucks here but if I buy two I get one free? Sign me up. I walked in here and ended up ordering 2 bubble teas, 3 banh mi, 3 pate chaud, 2 egg rolls, a combo plate with 3 types of meat dishes and a veggie, AND a glutinous rice thing filled with meat and what have you. It came out to like…32 bucks? I had to ask if they missed something. GOLD MINE. I’ve already been back and hot damn it was just as good.
