Great owners! The service and food were outstanding! The beef short ribs were amazing. The pork ribs were equally amazing. The sides were excellent. The peach cobbler was out of this world good! Definitely worth the stop. Thanks Dan and Jo for making us feel so welcomed.

Thank you for a peaceful, YUMMY, dog-friendly place to have lunch with our friends while we’re in town. The pulled pork stuffed baked potato is perfection! And Hampton says thanks for the oversized water bowl, lol.

What a welcome find! I had the spareribs and they were meaty and delicious. I’m northerner so I picked the sweet BBQ sauce. It was a perfect match for the slightly spicy ribs. My husband had the macaroni and cheese with brisket and he said it was yummy. But best of all was the fantastic service and atmosphere. You couldn’t help but feel happy with this friendly staff.

This place was very good! I went here with my cousins and grandparents for a nice sit down meal. Food was great! I got ribs, brisket and sausage all in one meal! WARNING ‼️ if you don’t like hot stuff don’t get the sausage! It is pretty hot! If you like hot stuff, this would be perfect for you. Great workers! Very kind and caring. One thing that could be better is there’s not hardly any seating. We did have a group of 8 but we still had to split up and sit in different rooms. Overall, if you’re in town, I would recommend this place!

I went to Onery Hog BBQ, LLC today and it was seriously delicious! We had ribs, brisket, pulled pork and mac and cheese. Everything was super tasty, well-seasoned, and had that fresh, homemade feel. You can really tell they cook with care and experience.

The service was lovely, everyone was so kind and always smiling, which made the whole vibe feel warm and friendly.

It’s about an hour from downtown Phoenix, really close to the 93 freeway, so it’s a great spot for a weekend lunch getaway. There’s plenty of space and even a nice area for big groups, so you can go with family or friends without a problem.

And the best part: they’re pet friendly! I brought my kitty (she always stays in her little carrier) and it was totally fine. The place feels peaceful and welcoming for everyone.

Definitely somewhere I’d love to go back to.

Words can barely describe how wholeheartedly welcoming everyone at Onery Hog BBQ was. The brisket, sausage and sides were amazing, 10/10. A true gem in Wickenburg.

My friends and I stopped at Onery Hog BBQ for lunch during a Thursday motorcycle ride. The food was outstanding. My friend had the brisket sandwich and claimed that it was the best barbecue he’d ever had. Another in our group had the pulled pork sandwich and made the same claim. I had the stuffed potato with brisket and it was absolutely delicious. This small restaurant is staffed by friendly folks and is a hidden gem in Wickenburg. Definitely worth trying if you like barbecue.

We walked to this restaurant from the RV Park at the community center. We decided on the brisket sandwich with sides of Mac and cheese and baked beans. The brisket was very tender and tasty. Both the sweet and spicy bar-b-que sauces were very tasty. We shared the meal and had plenty; the serving size is very generous. We highly recommend the green chile cornbread with melted honey butter. Neither of us ever remember having better cornbread. Spreaking of the baker, her peach cobbler alamode was also great. The owner, Jo, came to our table to check on us. She is perfect for a hospitality position, very friendly. We will be back to visit this place and highly recommend it.

Easily the best ribs I’ve had in my life. Also the best cornbread. And the sausage that is special made for them is incredible. I could go on and on, but you get the point. I stopped in on a recommendation from a local, and they earned every ounce of respect. I will be back on Wickenburg for the food alone if nothing else.

Wow. This little place in Wickenburg just up Tegner tucked away from the Sigler (Desert Caballeros Museum) and the quaint little Western themed stores offers up what is arguably the best Bar-B-Q in Arizona served up by the nicest folks you will ever meet.

Their Brisket is “melt-in-your-mouth”, well-smoked, well seasoned and just plain superb. My Mom is not exactly a fan of “red meat” but this has always been her go-to-plate at the Onery Hog as well as mine. So tender, so moist, so delicious.

Dan the cook and co-owner knows Bar-B-Q and his wife Jo, the co-owner are a delight. Almost like family. The side dishes, the Cowboy Beans, the Potato Salad, the Cole Slaw always done just right. The Peach Cobbler ala mode is to die for – but don’t. 🙂

They also serve up great Prime Rib and Smoked Salmon on Friday evenings and sometimes on Saturdays too.

Now we don’t eat pork, so I cannot review the pulled pork or the sausage but having eaten Dan’s brisket I imagine they are just as superbly cooked and delicious too.

About the only thing is that their hours are limited, usually open for lunch and an early dinner weekdays and Saturdays, and closed by four pm (they are usually open Friday evenings or on special occasions)which makes it a bit hard especially coming up from Southwest Phoenix. But if you can get there during their open hours – or make a day of it in Wickenburg (such a lovely little Western town with so much to see and do) well, the great food (raving about the Brisket) is worth the drive and the early hours alone. I have recommended the Onery Hog to musician friends who work in the area and they too have raved about the food too. Wickenburg has many great restaurants – Cowboy Cooking, Anita’s Cocina, Ranch Bar 7, & Hassayampa smokehouse come to mind but our favorite still remains the Onery Hog.

Sure hope Trace Adkins (who is a regular visitor to Wickenburg) will check it out sometime. I know he’ll be extremely pleased too.
