Outstanding Indian cuisine with one “must have” for every visit!

One item that sets TOI apart from other Indian establishments anywhere is the Garlic Stuffed Naan; this is the must-have, either alone or with an entree. Overstuffed with mozzarella & garlic, melted to perfection (pictured). The Chicken Cheese Stuffed Naan (pictured) is another unique Naan deviation that is a meal in itself, yum!!

I order the Butter Chicken (pictured) every time we dine at TOI. It is amazingly creamy & delicious! Next, you better be hungry or like leftovers if you order the Tandoori Chicken (pictured); you get 3 leg/thigh pieces with this dish! Moist, juicy, & seasoned just right!

Top off the meal with Gulab Jamun (pictured), the wheat “donut hole-ish balls in Rosewater & Honey, just enough sweetness to curb that craving for dessert!

If you love Indian cuisine, don’t miss our on TOI when you’re in Texarkana.

Can’t believe I hadn’t eaten here sooner!! Absolutely delicious. I got the shrimp biryani and it had the perfect spice level. My friend got the chicken tandoori with the cheese stuffed garlic naan and wow. Not pictured but I also ordered the mango lassi. Never had lassi before but am now a big fan, and highly recommend!! Excited to go back and try more! Don’t wait as long as I did, you should go try!

Wonderful food! Spices were fresh and abundant – in just the right way. They even offered to prepare a dish for me that wasn’t on the menu.

The Butter Chicken is amazing!

Ok, if it were in London it might get only 3 stars due to the fierce competition, but for North Texas it was quite good. Even with some craving-induced rating inflation the food is quite good. In general, the spice level was low. The lamb in the biryani was there best I’ve had in 2 years; not overcooked at all! The chicken in the Tikka Masala, on the other hand, was quite dry. If you’re craving chicken go for the tandoori chicken. A larger portion of well spiced, fall-off-the-bone chicken and fresh veggies for crunch.
Samosas were crispy but had no peas in them, moderate spice. Both plain and garlic naan were acceptable but the garlic stuffed is fantastically cheesy and flavorful. If you are craving Indian food in Texarkana, is worth the trip.

Update; must order the cheese stuffed garlic naan. Better that any local pizza.

A coworker raved about how good the food was. The food was soooo good!!! Prepared as you order it. You get large portions. I had the Butter Chicken and my Husband had Chicken Birani. The Naan bread was soo good!! Our waitress was awesome!! It was a quiet atmosphere. We for sure will be eating there again!!!

The food is great. The manager(or owner) , Mr Krishna is great. There was wait due to Christmas Eve rush and he was very courteous to keep us busy with talking. We loved the daal tadka which was as good as home made. I would say people in Texarkana are lucky to have such a great Indian cuisine in their city. We would love to revisit whenever in the area. Thank you for great food.

Walking into this place felt like stepping straight into the year 1700… and not the charming historical part, the plague part.

The smell hit first. A bold mix of “expired leftovers” and “wet mop.” The floors looked like they’ve seen several centuries and zero cleaning supplies.

The owner appears to be the entire staff. Host, waiter, cook, cleaner, probably the mayor too. After what felt like an eternity, he shuffled over with a smirk and absolutely no urgency. Customer service level: medieval.

The vibe screams, “We’re the only Indian restaurant in town, what are you gonna do about it?”

All the glowing reviews must be from family members or written during slow hours.

We left hungry… but at least disease-free. If you want Indian food, keep driving. If you want a historical survival experience, this is your place.

My husband and I dropped in after passing by for several months and we were blown away. It was our first time trying Indian food and we were NOT disappointed. Everything was piping hot and delicious. We asked the cooks host and owner for suggestions and I must say they were more than willing to help and totally on point w/ suggested selections. Everything was absolutely delicious. Did I say that already? Well, it’s true… Everything was truly mouthwatering. The amount of food was surprisingly way more than expected for the small amount we paid. Appetizers,Food and drinks for 2 was under $49. Thanks for bringing some affordable diversified cuisine to this area. Definitely NOT another burger, pizza, bbq, fried chicken/fish or Chinese food establishment.

We stopped here on a roadtrip and we’re so glad we did. We got tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken curry, garlic naan, mango lassies, pakora, and chia. Everything was delicious, but the chai was incredible – really some of the best chai I’ve ever had. We got all the food at the spice level they came, but asked for hot sauce on the side and were glad we did – the little extra spice made all the difference. The staff even made the pakora custom for us so that the gluten free members of our group could eat it. Highly recommend. So glad we found this place.
