I recently had the pleasure of dining at On the Border in Corpus Christi, and I was very impressed with the food and service. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, which was excellent. The soup was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the tacos and cheese quesadilla, and he really liked both. The tacos were filled with fresh ingredients, and the quesadilla was crispy and cheesy.

I love on the border but tonight was rather disappointing. I ordered a to go order. Beef Fajitas for 2 and a borderrito. We ordered the borderrito without black beans and when we got it, it had black beans. My son isn’t too picky so he ate it regardless. The Fajitas on the other hand, had enough meat for 2 small tacos. I paid $40 for that? And to top it off they forgot my tortillas. My sons borderrito had more meat than we did. When I called to say they forgot some items, all she said was oh. I truly hate that tonight was a bad experience because On the border is always my go to.

Great service and food! Cat was so wonderful and gave us recommendations when we were torn between 2 dishes, and she was very attentive to our needs (never had to ask). The food was the best Tex Mex I’ve had in a long time (I’m from San Antonio). Definitely worth trying out!!

Recommended. Good options for vegetarians. The portion size is more than average. Mango tango margarita and Blue lagoon margarita were nice and refreshing. Quesadilla and border brownie sundae were yummy too. Chips were the highlight- large and crispy.

Great Happy Hour! We have continued to visit this place for happy hour. Added a picture as of December 16, 2022. We tried the firecracker stuffed jalapeño and house margaritas. We also shared a plate of honey chipotle chicken fajitas. Service was good but you could tell they were short handed. We went this past Friday again, again ordered the firecracker stuffed jalapeño, margaritas. We also tried their trio queso, all three bowls had the base cheese dip, they just added red hot sauce to one and green hot sauce to the other. They are running a featured blackberry margarita with a touch of cinnamon in the drink and sugar & cinnamon on the rim. It is a drink to try! Forgot to take a picture of the last drink.

They give you chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crisp. The salsa has a nice little spice to it. I had their Mexican grilled chicken. It comes with rice and seasonal veggies. The chicken was done well. Service – while friendly – was very slow.
