My wife and I drove over to Mt Laurel from Pennsylvania to try this restaurant. My wife has been looking for an authentic TexMex spot like she had in El Paso TX. This restaurant didn’t disappoint. She was very happy as was I and we will be back. Food was excellent. Waiter was good

The food was good. Great prices, my table was dirty. Had to ask them to clean it. Far as the atmosphere, it was dark. I guess that is how they like it. We had to turn our flash to take a picture of the food. I would definitely go back, but I would sit on the bar side, which is to the right-hand side when you come in, because it’s better light over there.

Food as usual was very good. Wasn’t happy with the service. Had lunch on May 3 approximately 1p. I ordered appetizer and main course. Main course came to table before my appetizer. I said I assume the fries are coming…They said yes. They brought me French fries w ketchup instead the Texas Fries I ordered.. eventually brought me the Texas Fries

Great food. Try the Guac. Either tableside or made in back is excellent. I had the brisket taco with the spicy avocado dressing on the side, but ended up just putting more guacamole on it instead. Delish! Coworker had a shrimp rice bowl and she loved it. She had a traditional margarita and I had the tropical margarita, both were made perfect. Lots of parking but be aware there is a Chillis restaurant literally next door sharing a parking lot.

Dear On the Border, your service today was really on the border
I’m writing this review on a Monday evening, with hardly any customers.
The young lady who served at our table, was pretty much disinterested from the start. She forgot the basics, like water , we asked without ice, got it served with ice , forgot our beers(non alcoholic )and got it in a bottle , rather just dropped at our table. And never bothered to ask if we needed mugs. One of us had to go grab the mugs on our own !
Then comes the food, that was placed with a bang on the table, I am not sure if this is how the organization treats all it’s customers on a non busy day! I ordered a sizzler, I never knew on the border had a new type of sizzler that was luke warm and you can touch the plate. How fascinating ! I asked them to get it hotter, which they did accommodate!
The tortillas were stuck to the wrapper.
Overall, I would not recommend it to visit this location! Especially, not paying for a plonking and a passive service.

My fiancé and I love Mexican food, and I don’t like it too spicy so I ask for queso on the side. Never a problem. The last couple of times our waiter was “E”. An attentive young man who remembered us. He is putting himself through college. He’s a former high school wrestler (we are huge Penn State wrestling fans!) so we enjoyed talking with him. It wasn’t busy in the bar but we primarily watched the Phillies game on TV, had a good dinner (beef chimichanga and spicy shrimp tacos with rice and refined beans) followed by the warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and a delicious mango frozen margarita. It was sunshine in a glass so we’ll be back for more! Thanks E for taking such good care of us. Waiters/waitresses could learn a lot from you. Hope to see you again very soon.

The food was good, the only problem was that they took too long to bring the cocktails after I had already eaten the appetizers.

I’ll give it a 4 because the service was great and the food was good. If you are looking for good food in a nice environment that reminds me of a franchise style place, then of course go here. The food looked consistent and was good.
I prefer great, but theirs was very good so go and enjoy.
See my pics and video but definitely go try it out for yourself!
They have live guacamole, they can fresh make it at your table… I’m sure the server must love that lol, but neat concept.
Enjoy!

We went here on Sunday evening. One of our friend was allergic to cheese and we asked the server if we can get cheese on only one side of the plate and the server said that they can’t do that according to her Manager (but all other On the border branch have been doing that for us). Then they served us the nachos with cheese on the side but only with beans as you can see in pictures. Everything else was okay but we didn’t like the way they handle our request for nachos.
Parking was available on site.

Had the carne asada, cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully, the rice has a tasty tang and the veggies complete the dish so well. I loved every bite and I want more.
