Fajitas were expensive, but good. At least they don’t skimp on portions!
I was able to get my drink order and water right away, but when my partner decided he wanted a water too, it took him 15 minutes to get it.
Our server was very nice, but never checked on us. Served our meals and asked if we wanted dessert, that was it. It also seemed like she was the only server working.

First time at this location but I have eaten at this chain before. We were immediately seated and served. The water was extremely nice and did a great job. The chips and salsa were both fresh. I am a little disappointed that my bowl was on the small side but no surprise since it seems like most places are like this. The margaritas were fantastic. I would eat here again.

It’s a pretty typical Mexican chain, decent. It’s not going to blow your mind but it’s more than meets your minimum requirements for an enjoyable Mexican fare, especially in South Dakota. The serving was large and the prices were very reasonable, good value.
Service was quick and seating was plentiful since we came on non-peak hours. They don’t really take reservations, first come first serve.
Parking was easy. Certainly a good option for Mexican food especially if you want a full bar for drinks.

Great Experience, the service from the staff is definetly up to par. I bought the Fajitas and although a somewhat steep price tag, they were absolutly amazing. The amount i was given was so huge i got full after eating half and have plenty for leftovers. The bathrooms were sparkly clean and the whole place was awesomely themed. Great place to have a nice meal for sure.

I have absolutely no complaints as the food was amazing!!! The server Nikki was a sweetheart and explained all options with major descriptions. The steak was super juicy and flavorful! The tacos with dipping sauce was sexy as can be. The beans were REAL made with lard as they should be! Awesome job staff !!

The hostess was very accommodating on where we wanted to sit. Savanna was our server and she was fantastic. I really wanted the Barbacoa. But I wanted the sampler and it had chicken quesadillas. She was kind enough to switch out the chicken quesadillas with the Barbacoa. My husband has steak fajita and shrimp, and he also was very satisfied. A lot of food that we could not take home with us because we are traveling. We had a side of guacamole, and that was also fresh and very yummy.

I can say one thing about the food here on the border, you don’t go away hungry, the portions are big, and the quality of the food is way up there. The staff is fast and friendly and did a good job of checking up on us to see if all is good. It’s worth stopping in.

First time at On the Border and it was truly phenomenal! Hostess and server were friendly and attentive, food was absolutely delicious and made to order and restaurant/bathrooms were clean. If you are in the area, check this restaurant out! 5/5 stars!!!
