The staff here need a major lesson in professionalism. So many of the workers are unnecessarily rude and snappy. Very slow service as well. The food is alright. Some items are good but others not so much. I think the enchilada sauce they use is rather bad. The salsa is also very salty. The steak and chicken are dry. The atmosphere is pretty cute, but I don’t think that makes up for the bad service or the very high prices.

The service is amazing! We had a party of 12, the restaurant was super busy but everyone was so attentive! I think Olivia herself was at the front desk and later I saw her rolling napkins.
I had the chile verde, was really tasty but we could feel some fat. I had the carnitas tacos too and that was amazing. The shrimp burrito looked good too.
Will definitely come back if I am around town.

’ve been a loyal customer here for years, but the sheer lack of professionalism I experienced today has ensured I will never step foot in this building again. It is beyond insulting to sit in a nearly empty restaurant and be treated as an afterthought.
We were seated quickly, only to be left sitting there indefinitely while our server was too busy giggling with the owner and other staff to bother taking our order. When the food finally arrived via the owner’s son, he realized he’d forgotten the sauce. Rather than correcting the mistake immediately, he chose to wander over to another table to socialize and chat, leaving us sitting there with incomplete meals.
When I finally managed to flag down our original server to ask for the missing item, she showed zero urgency, choosing to hover over the cash register and shuffle through receipts while I waited. By the time the sauce actually made it to the table, my food was cold and the meal was ruined.
To watch the staff and the owner treat the dining room like their own private social hour while paying customers are ignored is unacceptable. I have always been a generous tipper, but today’s “service” didn’t even earn a fraction of that. If the owner is more interested in chatting than running a business, they’ve succeeded in losing a long-time regular.

Got the posole and the ensalada de nopalitos. It was so flavorful and satisfying. The salsas with the chips were also tasteful. Good flavors with a nice spice. We were greeted and helped immediately. Everyone was efficient in their roles and accommodated our spontaneous, last minute add ons. It was a little loud and a little hard to hear the servers, but overall great meal and experience. I would recommend.

This place is AMAZING!!!! I never had been here. I never had heard of it. It came up on my Google search. The staff was so friendly. It’s family owned and run. The actual “Olivia” was there. The food was amazing. So flavorful. The prices were reasonable. If I had one thing negative to say it was just that I wish the portions were bigger. Definitely try this.

Olivia’s is a staple to Riverside. Perfectly authentic Mexican cuisine with Olivia’s twist! The menu features not-so-common entrees but still manages to keep the authenticity there. There’s nothing on the menu I wouldn’t get, because everything tastes so great! Only (slight) downside is that it can get quite loud in the dining area as this place is always popping! Some sound insulation would benefit, especially for a family with naturally loud talkers lol
