This place was a pleasant surprise. I honestly did not expect much as restaurants in small college towns tend to be amateurish. We asked to taste the sauce which was nuanced and delicious. I decided to take a chance on the lasagna, though I had been planning to get a sandwich.

The atmosphere is very energetic and the food was delicious! They give BIG portions so come hungry. The live music was great too, nice touch to my dad’s birthday dinner (played some oldies and mix of rock and band). Waiter was very friendly and professional and we had awesome service. Wish they had a dance floor!!

The food is amazing. The service is superb. Loved the musicians! The music was very appropriate for the atmosphere. Relaxed and not loud. Perfect. We ordered two meals, and we had so much left over we will be eating on them for several days! I am so impressed that such a great place is right in the little town of central, SC. If you’re wondering whether or not to try it, DO IT! You won’t regret it.

Absolutely amazing little establishment. Food is great. Staff is great. Live music is a big plus. A little small for large groups. But all around good place. Don’t hesitate to try it. You will not be disappointed. Oh and by all means. Ask for the waitress named Tegan. She hit it out of the park on customer service. Will return soon. Until then happy eating everyone.

The food was well seasoned and delicious. Breadsticks were excellent, stout , not heavy or gummy and just enough garlic. The salad looked like someone had just washed the lettuce, with a nice blend of artisanal types, and some teeny pickles lurking in there. It looked as though someone had actually cared about how well it was made! The dressing tasted homemade, too.

We have been coming to Olive Tree Restaurant since it has opened. Love Sam’s cooking, delicious food and large portions. Never a wait to sit down and enjoy Italian and Mediterranean food. In a small town like Central the food and service is outstanding. The staff is fast and friendly. We love Miss Tegan and the rest. I feel like a family member when we come for dinner. Enjoy, mangia!

Super cute, homey restaurant that is basically like Olive Garden with a less extensive menu. Prices are comparable to OG as well. Portions are HUGE so you can probably split an entree and leave room for dessert The fettuccine alfredo was super rich and I ate the leftovers for 2 meals! Great option for date night and much less crowded than similar restaurants. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like the Olive Tree, unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. We went with a large group, and even though the owner knew for 2 weeks that we were coming, he/she did nothing to prepare for our group. There was one waitress for the 30 of us and everything took forever. No one got more than 1 drink, no one had dessert or coffee, and we were there for 3 hours. 3 hours! It took 45 minutes to get my wine, which was certainly not worth the wait. The chicken parmesan was mostly breading, with very little chicken. Others in the group felt their meals were less than optimal as well. The owner never came to our table to say thanks for coming or sorry for the wait, which was disappointing, since we were the majority of his/her customers that night. Our waitress seemed to try hard and she was very nice, so that bought the Olive Tree the 2nd star. With that said, she did leave for 15 minutes to go outside and have a cigarette, and paying was a fiasco. She started handing out checks but they were so messed up, we all had to get in line at the register, tell them what we had, and pay. Another 30 minutes of my life I can’t get back. I’ll give the Olive Tree another shot with a smaller group and let you know how that goes. Stay tuned!
