Made a last minute decision to eat here and I’m glad I did. I’ve always heard about Old Soul in lists for the best coffee in Sacramento but was unaware they had such good food too. The Biscuits & Gravy with eggs and bacon were amazing. The gravy wasn’t too salty or greasy, the eggs were seasoned perfectly and the bacon was just crispy enough. The Carnitas Breakfast Sandwich was also really good. The drinks we ordered were a hot Vanilla Latte, iced Mocha and Lavender Lemonade, all were great. There is no doubt I will be back to try more from this place. 4.9/5.

Calm, clean, and cozy atmosphere. They have good IPAs, and of course, their coffee is excellent!

Saw this place across the street from where I was going. The ambience of a corner store will draw you in and the character of the building.

My favorite coffee shop! The best ambiance! It provided me much comfort during grad school and my exams. I still stop by to read and just get a cup of coffee. I also love eating breakfast here. Excellent natural lighting!

Uh, yikes. This was a tough one. I so wanted to support this neighborhood institution, but… I ordered a salad with chicken for breakfast. My two companions were all but done with their egg dishes by the time I was served my meal. A salad. A cold salad. They were pretty unapologetic about it. Doubt I’ll return. The salad itself was okay. If it was spectacular, I’d think about returning.

The atmosphere here is cool, but I don’t know why it’s so popular. The Chai I had was not good (or hot). The breakfast sandwich was good, but I had to wait 35 minutes to get it. I think I’ll go elsewhere next time.

This place has an excellent selection of pastries, prepared breakfast options, and sandwiches. I enjoyed their granola parfait and banana chocolate bread. Their latte had perfect foam and great tasting espresso, which is especially impressive because I ordered the decaf. I hope to visit again next time we are in the area.

Save your money. This place is very expensive for what you get. I got the Cuban? sandwich, it had very little meat on it, the roll was hard as a rock and they didn’t add the avocado that I paid $2 extra for. The service is indifferent bordering on rude. I paid $5 for the lavender lemonade that left a lot to be desired. I spent a total of $22. It was money wasted. I could’ve gotten a better sandwich at any chain sandwich shop for significantly less.

The food was good. I went with three friends. Two of us had scone and muffin. The others had avocado toast. The avo toast took a long time. So I wouldn’t recommend that. But if you want coffee and baked goods, it’s great. Also nice outside seating.
