I LOVE Old Grist Mill’s sandwiches. They are made with high quality ingredients, they always taste so fresh, and they let you customize to your liking. Don’t get me started on their baked goods, the cookies are absolutely amazing. This location has a great dining area and I would highly recommend it for lunch!

It was ok. The sandwich was mediocre at best. It was more of a quick comfort food type of place. I read other reviews about this place, their costumer service. Will have to agree that it does need a bit of improvement. As a first time costumer here, I kind of had to figure out how the process was, girls at the front were more interested in their own conversations than my confused face. Glad that the lady behind me was kind enough to tell me how you order here. There is a little paper you fill out on what you want whether it is one of their combo meals or a la cart. When your order is done they call your name and hand you your paper baggie with all your food in it. FyI if you get soup the spoons are right were you pick up your food. Save you some time from looking all over the place.

Very disappointed in the service at Old gristmill in Smithfield today. I was turned away because they couldn’t get my credit card to work. I had been using it all day successfully several times and have used the exact same credit card at Old grist Mill 2 days ago. They didn’t try to give me any other options they didn’t try to make it right they just said sorry we can’t serve you. I guess they didn’t want my business that bad. I went straight to Arctic circle and they didn’t have a problem taking my money.

I wish this place would be consistent!!! So very disappointed. Where to begin, should it be the fact that the jalapeño cheddar bagels had no cheddar any where on them!!! Or that the French dip is so cold, not only in the sandwich part but the aujus as well that my cheese was a block on it, there was no melt. Maybe just maybe, it would be the fact that the oatmeal raisin cookie and the chocolate chip cookie look so alike that you aren’t sure what you are eating, they just look like cow pies that they browned. What happened to putting flour in the cookies so they don’t just melt all over the tray. Why are we serving this? Can we not have a consistent bake every day? I can bake better at home and I am not charging people for them!!! I think I am done with this establishment until they can decide to serve the same quality every day. I want cheddar on my bagel, a hot fench dip with hot aujus sauce, to be able to tell the difference between oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookie, not guess the cow pie. Then to not have to guess what soup you are serving because you don’t cross them out when you don’t have them. P.S. Chicken and wild rice soup is not good as a cream based soup, go with the broth it would be a better option. Just done!!!

Dropped off an order for a family party 2 hours before scheduled pickup time. Showed up on time, paid, and then they told us that they had not even started and would start in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later and I see a lot of people who were here before us still waiting around for their food too. Everyone seemed to enjoy the sandwiches though.

Had a good experience at this location. My sandwich was made super quickly, exactly what I wanted, and it was good for a very affordable price. The employees were all really friendly and the restaurant was clean and quiet. The desserts looked great.

It was fine. It was around 5:00 so a lot of their baked goods were gone. Order came out pretty quick. The soup was wicked hot temperature wise which I guess is great if you’re going to take it somewhere else to eat, but to eat it in the store we had to wait a while. They don’t have any caffeine-free sugar-free options on the fountain machine.
