Please don’t make the mistake of ordering chicken Haleem, I ordered this and they gave me a box of cold dal Makhni , I was very disappointed. I tried calling the phone number multiple times and nobody even picked up. It was not Halim in any sense. There were no fried onions. There was no meat. I was extremely disappointed with this.

They take advantage of the convenience we choose as it’s in the large grocery store and rip us off- just couple of dollars each time! But I don’t like the take it for granted attitude and poor customer service. The size of snacks is less than everywhere else, overpriced, and when you ask the front guy says “I just work here”- owners don’t care about your feedback! Avoid this place.

Tried chicken boneless biryani, it was spoiled and smelling awfull, I went to the store and complained and they didn’t care at all, If you dont have biryani just say no, dont serve 2 days before rice and cause food poisoning to customers.

Avoid non veg at all cost here.

Located inside the Manpasand store. Good food options to grab & go while shopping at the store. They have fresh snacks and can make dosa, poori freshly to order. They also have many chat items.
Only downside, they dont have any tables for you stand and eat

I went here with spouse to try authentic Indian food. But asked for mild level on the spiciness. I’m not kidding when I say the waiter glared at me and then our 2 dishes came and they were both so spicy I couldn’t even taste the food. Definitely won’t go back.

Zero quality and high price. The samosas were stale when asked they lied on face saying made fresh. I tried mirchi bajji and masala vada, it’s bland and made with no care. I would never in my life I would like to risk eating at this filthy place. They just want to make money out of selling crappy food, not worth even a penny.

Got 16oz chicken curry for 14 bucks – it had just bones and skin!! Absolutely no meat .. Curry was ok! These people have the audacity to sell this extremely small portion of ok-tasting chicken curry with no meat from a self-service counter for $14 bucks!! Customers should boycott them!

Same story with their puffs – 90% of the puffs is just puff pastry with very little stuff in it!

Only redeeming item is the Tea!

My girlfriend and I were a bit hungry while shopping and saw this spot in the corner of the market and thought why not?

She and I ordered 2 good sized samosas (only $1.49/ea!) and a chicken kadai curry to share. The samosas are already premade under a heat lamp so while not fresh they have great flavor and are also just hands down great bang for you buck, but the curry was absolutely incredible; it was $11 but when served for dine-in is served in a (very deep) traditional metal curry bowl with tons of rice in a separate one. The flavors were just amazing and it came out piping hot, both my girlfriend and I couldn’t stop talking about how good it was.

I’ve seen other reviews discuss the seating and all that, but give them a break now, they’re located in the corner of a traditional Indian food market. If anything, the flushed out florescent lights with only a few hap hazardly arranged tables and chairs and yet exceptionally great curry, all surrounded by a traditional Indian market kind of makes me feel like I’m on a street somewhere random in India eating the best food at the least suspecting place ala Anthony Bourdain style.

Don’t let the lack of fancy decor fool you, if you’re looking for some authentic and delicious curry give this place a try.

It is one of the best places to get tea and Indian snacks in Austin. The staff here is amiable. This place has a lot of different snack options. It is a great place for doing both grocery shopping and enjoying Indian snacks

Not Hyderabadi style. Ordered dum biryani and got no masala and less quantity of chicken when compared to other restaurants.

P.S: They don’t serve Mirchi ka salan

Dum Biryani: 1/5

Snacks might be good, but I haven’t tried them
