The atmosphere was an authentic pizzeria, very cozy. You can tell it’s family owned. The owners were very friendly, and the food was delicious. Would come back!

Food was excellent, my husband and I shared an Italian style Stromboli and mushroom cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was delicious right down to the ultra fresh bun. The flavours in the cheesy Stromboli were excellent. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!!

It was decent. Thick crust & alotta grease throughout. A lil lightskin for my taste i’ll admit. Could’ve used anotha minute in the oven maybe it’s just my preference. But for $4 it was worth every cent

Happened upon this place while in the city. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. My son’s expression when he saw the pizza slice size was the best. Highly recommend this local gem.

This restaurant is a gem in Old City. The owners are kind, friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I had chicken parm with spaghetti – piping hot, flavorful sauce and tender chicken. My partner had a 10 inch pizza and it was hot out of the oven good. No wifi, but no worries – we talked about how much fun we had touring Philly.

My wife had never been to Philadelphia before so we visited Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross House, Love Park. On our way out of the Betsy Ross House, the smell of food caught my wife’s attention. We walked into Old City Pizza and we were greeted kindly by a very nice woman, who may be the owner. We both ordered cheesesteaks and some fries with cranberry and apple juice. We shared a strawberry cheesecake. We were completely satisfied with the food and service! Definitely recommend!!

Absolutely delicious. We had the cheesesteak and white pizza with ricotta. Fabulous. It really gives the more well-known places a run for their money. The staff was so incredibly kind as well.

You can always tell when it’s an owner instead of an employee because the amount of attention and care of that’s given as a person somebody who’s there because they want to get the money and leave.

Great local place people were talking from table to table across the room it was very nice to not have a trendy and pc crowd.

Of course Tessie couldn’t come in with us but she was right out front and me and all their had a very nice time and we’re there much longer than we should have been for what we had ordered and nobody minded and everybody seemed very casual and at home. Very personable owners.

Old City Pizza delivers joy by the slice.
I ordered a giant slice and some garlic bread, and both were absolutely on point. The garlic bread had just the right balance of butter, garlic, and a touch of sweetness—exactly how I like it. The pizza was enormous and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the service. It felt homely, like walking into Mom’s kitchen.

The staff made the experience feel personal and welcoming, and the dessert selection is no joke—plenty of variety to satisfy any craving. The place is clean, easy to get to (right on the bus line), and close to Philly’s iconic landmarks. It’s an established spot that knows how to treat its guests. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort food with heart.

Stopped in here for a bite to eat. The drinks were cold and refreshing. Sorry, no alcohol beverages. Pizza was decent. Hubby said the chesestreak was OK, but he has had better. Cheesesticks were good. It was crowded in there when we first got there. But soon cleared out.
