Foods are good, environment is quiet, the service seemed a bit slow because only one to two person serve the whole restaurant as one of them took order, serving and being a cashier at the same time. I went on Halloween day so not sure if regular day would be the same. I got second tiers AYCE and the wagyu is so good.

Honestly, the experience was ok. We came for the lunch special, but we are not planning to come back for that. We were greeted by a friendly server who explained everything. The only downside was the fact that the lunch special menu that we went for. We didn’t realized that it meant 1 literal meat per person from the list, not 1 order of each meat. On top of that, there’s only 4-5 thinly sliced strips of meat. At some point I was wondering what to do with my rice since I ate all of the meat already… So, for the price and tax and tip included, costs almost $50 for 2 people and we both were still hungry afterwards. For lunch specials, I’d prefer Gyu-kaku over this 1000x.

Better than KBBQ and better than Gyu-Kaku. Go for the premium (don’t worry, deluxe is good too) Wagyu and Kobe Nigiri. Sushi and BBQ plus happy hour (M-F: 3-6pm). Small amount of street parking but totally doable. They even have a veggie plate included to order

Wow I have not had great Japanese BBQ for a while. Super friendly staff. Good size dishes. The sushi is super fresh and has great flavor. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Had a great experience at Oku Niku Japanese BBQ! The quality of the meat was excellent—tender, flavorful, and clearly fresh. You can really taste the difference in each cut. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but given the quality, it’s worth it for an occasional treat. Definitely recommend for meat lovers looking for a premium BBQ experience.

This was seriously good food.

We did the premium ayce which let’s you have the one order of wagyu and kobe nigiri.
Those two items alone were worth going for. The nigiri is so good it just melts in your mouth. The wagyu is really good. It’s fatty in a good way where the flavor feels enhanced by it. Too bad it’s only 1 order per person.

The service was fantastic, they were nice and attentive. The place was empty though so I can’t speak for a full house.

Presentation of the food was well done.

The rest of the menu is also good. We got dumplings, beef fried right and an assortment of meats.

Overall, I recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Very clean place, great selection of meat and vegetables. We tried the $75 meal and that includes all of the items on the menu, and also you get one order of Wagyu and one Kobe nigiri. Great experience meat melt in your mouth tender.

Did the ayce for dinner tonight, the food was so good. Can’t believe you even get A5 from Japan for ayce. The American Kobe short ribs was so good too. Melts in my mouth. Friendly service and super clean was a plus. Will definitely go back soon!

Went again, tried other items. And food was really good as usual. Don’t forget to get their dessert. It’s a bomb

Best yakiniko. You can order ala cart or ayce. Deluxe ayce is $55 & $75 for premium. Premium includes a serving of 3.5 oz A-5 beef. Very good deal and their beef are very marbled. Service is excellent, place is very clean & floor is not sticky unlike some korean bbq place.

The 2 stars is for the overpriced $25 2 meat Lunch special. The $25 Lunch special only gives you 3 small pieces of each meat that was selected which was not mentioned on the menu. When the plate of meat came out, I asked the waiter if we can change our order to the $55 – All you can eat option.

He asked his manager, and the manager said we can only change it to the $75 Premium All you can eat option. This sounded a little sketchy/greedy for a new business that was empty at lunch time. It was not a good first impression for the only customer in the restaurant at the time during Friday lunch hour. I kindly declined the offer and stuck with our overpriced lunch special. The waiter than said you can try the $55 all you can eat next time. I highly doubt I will be returning customer even though I live in the area.

Maybe my review rating would have been different if the manager understood that being a first-time customer and not being familiar with lunch special portion offering and allow us to switch and try the higher priced $55 All you can eat. That would have made me think this business wanted to establish a returning customer base, especially for residents in the area.

Unfortunately, this didn’t happen. The little meat we had was okay. The shishato peppers we order was also average.

The only bright side was that our waiter was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and new.

Good luck finding street parking.

Lot more better options in the area for $25 lunch.
