We stopped here on a chance as we were driving back from Indiana and Illinois. We had a most delicious lunch of chicken pot pie soup, Oklahoma onion burger, and “fancy” truffle and parmesan fries with garlic mayo. Truly an amazing lunch. So delicious. Our server Tessa was great too!

I really like the vibe/atmosphere here at Jack & Jenny’s came here to check out this new establishment. First impression was “wow”! Impressive scene with modern style and holding some form of downtown history. The food was great but feel that prices were a tad high for “pub” food as compared to other similar establishments. We visited around 3:00 pm and didn’t think it was busy, we ended up seating ourselves and waited awhile before we for any service. Our meals were bought out at separate times, my wife was half way through her meal before I received mine. Service was lagging. Perhaps being that this is new, give some time for staff to be trained and improve to 5 stars.

Met a friend there for lunch today. It was our first time going. We were both impressed with our waitress who was both friendly and knowledgeable. Our food – cod dinner with fries, cole slaw, and a delicious roll – was excellent! We both said we’d be back again!

It was our family’s first time in Janesville and we decided to try Jack & Jenny’s because of the locally-sourced ingredients and good reviews. We ordered hamburgers, fries, and a grilled cheese sandwich plus soup. All of it was excellent! Our only regret was ordering too many fries. One order of fries is easily shareable between two or three people.

Jack & Jenny’s is a wonderful local spot. The food was absolutely amazing, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a place you want to linger. The manager, Josh, truly cares about the business and how guests are treated — if something isn’t right, they make it right without hesitation. I’ve tried several things there now and overall, it’s 5 stars. The drinks are very good, probably one of the better places in Janesville now. Fancy fries, cheese curds, smashed burgers, brussels sprouts, and steak are all fantastic and either the best or tied for the best in Janesville.
The turkey on the turkey club is just store bought cold cuts. It looks like they used to cook it there, but changed the menu, which is disappointing. And the scallops are nasty – almost black on the outside and when you bite in, boiling salty water *pours* out.
Despite the couple missteps, most of the food is fantastic. The service is fantastic. And I like the fact that it’s fairly well-lit so I can actually see. So it’s 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Will definitely be back many times.

We ordered a tomato soup and grilled cheese, smash burger, fried cheese curds, and the “fancy fries”. SO DELICIOUS. High quality and you can tell! Service was friendly. It was very busy, and our waitress made a couple mistakes but quickly corrected them on her own and was incredibly apologetic and kind. Will definitely be returning!

Hands down, the best smashburger I have had! I got the Oklahoma Onion and my husband got the Classic Smash. Mine was exactly what you would want from a perfectly done smashburger; caramelized edges of beef with the juiciness and flavor you expect. The onions were generously placed on top, with enough cheese to make the burger have that balanced creaminess and sweetness one craves. Together, with the buttered bun, it was pretty much perfection.
My husband enjoyed the Classic Smash, but for me; too many toppings. My advice, keep it simple and let the star of the show, the burger, shine.
I also had one of their signature Old Fashioned’s and it was really good. This was a true Old Fashioned. But fear not my Wisconsin friends! They also have our version of one too.
If you are downtown Janesville, you need to stop in. We can’t wait to go back.

Looked like a wonderful place, but when my group and I entered, it reeked of sewage. I’d love to try it again and update my review, but that stench needs to be handled. We sat far from the restrooms and left before even ordering drinks. I hope when we go back, it will be more pleasant.
