Oki Japan is very tasty and at a great price. We were there before the circus, which was on the lot and had a nice meal. It is located inside the Lakewood Center Mall.
The place is small and does a lot of to go and delivery. There are some nice places to sit and the mall area right out front as a lot of seating.
We had shrimp tempura and rice which was great and some sushi. The sushi was good, not great. We will have something else next time. Their beef bento box was really good and their vegetables are steamed nicely and they are super tasty. Their chicken teriyaki is excellent.
The place is clean and the service is really nice and they are fast. Have fun.

My daughter loves their teriyaki chicken bowl. Their prices are reasonable. Partner got the seafood noodle bowl and said it was delicious.

I have been going here for a couple years but I had an experience in which the Terriyaki sauce was super salty and mention it to the owner and took the feedback in a negative way. I really enjoy the food but I had a bad experience which the sauce was super salty when it usually is more on the sweet side. Definitely a hit or miss in my opinion.

The issue is not the flavor or the quality of the food but the lack of friendliness and speed of service. I have been to several joint similar to this one (there is one in Cerritos mall for example).. and the service in this one is sloooowwwwww..
You got to have your top selling plate ready to serve and not cook to order. This is a mall fast food not a gourmet sit down restuarant.

Chicken is okay for the price but my girlfriend said it was good. A little overpriced. You get one item for almost $8, where in other places you get 2 items. I ordered some sushi but was very disappointed. It was a tiny tube sized roll. Almost buffet sized. I asked for a water cup like i always do and I usually get no complaints. I asked for 2 water cups and only got one. She tried to charge them as water bottles.

Not a fan, I tried the shrimp tempura bento with fried rice… Flavor it’s all wrong. The fried rice looks and taste like Mexican red rice, the shrimp were small and over cooked, crunchy and burnt, nothing Japanese nor Asian flavor about this meal. For that price and flavor it’s not worth it. I will not be back, ever.

We always buy the chicken plate almost every other weekend, if not every weekend. I always thought customer service was poor, but the tasty plate kept us coming. I have 4 young children, so sometimes we would order 2-3 plates and my kids would share since their portions are pretty generous. Earlier today, the female cashier commented “Two plates for six people?” I thought that was such a RUDE comment. My family and I have been eating here for the last 2-3 years and for her to make such a comment to a loyal customer was extremely impolite and unprofessional. In addition, the “chefs” aren’t very friendly, either. My husband and I just decided to never go there again. We have decided to eat elsewhere in the mall, so Oki Japan has lost our business.

Amazing quick service, infact faster than some well established fast-food chains. The environment is lovely, well lit, and a great manga inspired design as its wallpaper. All completely justified visiting for their savory, juicy dishes. I especially like the side order of noodles. Great Japanese that won’t break your wallet, and a must-try for anyone looking for high tier Asian food while at the mall.
