We’re Off the Rails Barbeque & Drafthouse, and we’ve been a leading BBQ restaurant here in Verona, PA, since 2016. We pride ourselves on providing the best BBQ food around with a full bar, a great atmosphere, and live music. We offer a wide selection of meats to choose from, including St Louis ribs, beef brisket, and pulled pork. Each is slow-smoked using our custom smoker. Our menu also includes grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers – all served with delicious sides like cornbread and collard greens. As if that weren’t enough, we also serve up appetizers like nachos and wings – not to mention a full bar with local craft beers on tap. We’re looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Verona and the surrounding communities.

Every time I order a sandwich to go my chips are forgotten. No exaggeration. It’s every time. When I take out I have to go back in for my chips, when I get delivery I have to contact Uber Eats for a refund. At this point I’m tired of giving them a shot. This last time I ordered. Chicken sandwich which looks nothing like the chicken sandwich on the website. I got what looks like a bbq chicken sandwich that I need to assemble but that’s not even listed on the website. Fried chicken sandwich is what is currently listed on the menu.

First time at off the rails after hearing many great things. I was a little confused as to how the ordering worked and bar but figured it out. We had the ribs, brussel sprouts, brisket fries, vinegar based coleslaw, and wings. Everything was so delicious! They had a large selection of craft beers on tap and in can which was really cool. I could tell they have regulars that frequent there. It was cool they have live music but when I was there it was wayyyyy too loud (and I’m in my 30’s) and hard to find a seat far away enough from the stage. I would definitely go back.

The food is solid. But I came here because of their beer selection. But when you have 16 oz cans of double IPAs from an in-state brewery for $15, that’s bs. Honestly had hoped this would be a good spot to go to for BBQ as I’ve been looking for one since I moved back. So again, good BBQ, but a single can of double IPA beer shouldn’t be the same price as the entree meal.
If the admin from this place responds, I have the pic of the receipt. Beer was DDH Technicolor Splendor from Tired Hands Brewing. $15 for the can. Found at bottleshop for $9. 50% additional markup?

For me it was worth the wait to dine with my and his partner. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs, which was the special, Rachel had the pull brisket BBQ sandwich and Patrick had the loaded brisket fries. Prices a compatible with other restaurants. They had a choice of 3 sauces. Ala carte type of menu. I definitely recommend going here for fantastic BBQ.

Off the Rails is definitely worth checking out. The food quality is seriously impressive — everything tastes fresh and well-made. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and it was amazing. The seasoning was on point, super flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
The only downside is that the portion sizes are a little smaller than expected, especially for the price. It’s a bit on the expensive side, so I wish you got just a little more food.
Overall though, the flavor and quality really stand out. If you care more about taste than huge portions, you’ll love it. I’d definitely go back.

This family owned establishment truly lives up to its name! #OFFTHERAILS bbq and drafthouse embodies the epitome of a backyard family bbq gathering all in one restaurant. I had the pleasure of dining with the family the afternoon I chose. (By coincidence) so be on your best darn behavior cause you never know when the Boss Ken and his family may be in the house! Very good people! Genuine, loving and most of all welcoming! I first recommend having a drink from Liv the best Startender on the east coast. Her lemon drop martini is 100% Top tier! The food is absolutely amazing kudos to one of their chef’s LaShawn and entire staff meals are fresh, cooked and served daily, clean and a whole vibe! Trust me this isn’t your regular bbq because it’s literally OFF THE RAILS! You can’t go wrong with any item on the menu and you really want to try something different everytime you chill here simply because it keeps you coming back for more! Live music and bands, heaters and fire pits! Trust me, I’ve found my new summer hideout. Soon they’ll be expanding because well they’re just that good!

This was a great experience! Were visiting the northern burbs of Pittsburgh for a few days and we were in the mood for BBQ. Found Off The Rails and were not disappointed. There were some tiny things I wish were different that I’ll mention at the end, yet they still get 5 stars!
I forget what day of the week it was (Wednesday?) but they had a wing special… you could get a max of 6 at the special price. But these were WHOLE wings (so it was equivalent to getting 12 elsewhere)! And they were HUGE and meaty!! I got them with a dry rub and tried the various sauces they have out at the tables. Truly delicious and moist. The wings were so filling I barely touched the 1/2 lb of brisket I ended up taking to go. My wife had the Beef Brisket Nachos and she loved them, too. The drinks had an ample pour, the service staff were friendly and welcoming, and while there wasn’t live music the night we were there, the set-up looked like it would be fun to hang and party with the band.
The little negatives: there is a parking lot, but it’s not large enough to accommodate a full house. I had originally ordered a half rack of ribs rather than the brisket, but there was an accident in the kitchen and the platter fell to the floor before pick-up. Of course it was their last set of ribs that night. The brisket was my alternative choice. Lastly, I was very surprised that there wasn’t any corn on the menu (maybe that’s just me). I’d much rather have a roasted ear of corn rather than Mac ‘n Cheese.
This is definitely a place to try. Once you find parking, you’ll be glad you did! And you’ll go back again and again!

Great flavors. Good quality food. Blackened chicken sandwich was 10/10. Pulled pork was juicy & flavorful. Good pickles. Bang bang chicken wrap was very good. Shredded chicken quesadilla was perfect for our picky eater.
Nice beer selection.

I want to reach out to Ken shields and say thank you for what you did. It wasn’t necessary but your action is admirable. I don’t know of one restaurant out there that would have done what you did and I will definitely be back. Ribs ,Mac n cheese, baked beans were excellent! Great place for BBQ!!

Absolutely obsessed. Homemade, house-smoked barbeque. The owners and staff are extremely sweet and friendly. They do have indoor and outdoor seating which is super nice in the warmer months. They do close in the one area for additional seating and have heaters so it’s not too cold! The flavor, spices and way the items were prepared with absolutely delicious. The meat melts right in your mouth. Tried the wings- three jumbo smoked whole wings. They are slow cooked & flash fried. The pulled pork sandwich was incredible- slow smoked pork, tossed in a house Carolina cider mop piled on top of a Breadworks bun and Pittsburgh pickles. The brisket is a slow smoked Texas style brisket and we tried that on top of the creamy Mac and cheese. WOW- the brisket was so tender. And of course had to try their corn bread. Which came hot and totally hit the spot.
