I was looking forward to this order as I’ve had their food before with no issues except the wait time. They take forever! I ordered online the pick up time was 30mins later and I still had to wait about 10-16 mins when I arrived. For $22 before tax, got rice with a side of cabbage and bones with some oxtail on them. There was barely any meat on the bones. I was highly disappointed for the price being charged. If I order oxtail that should be the main thing on the plate. Won’t be returning.

I came here hoping this was a new African spot in the area, but it turns out it’s just Timbuktu relocated from Walton Way. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. The lady in the back making the meals was rude, per usual which really set the tone.

The food itself was good, but the portion size didn’t match the price. I paid $29 for what I called a “sample,” and to me, $29 should be a full, generous meal—not something small. If I had seen who was cooking before paying, I honestly would have walked out and gone to King Rich instead.

At King Rich on Tobacco Road, the portions are big, the service is friendly, and the prices are about the same ($20–30 depending on what you order). The difference is that their plates are worth it—I always leave with leftovers.

Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back here.

Pretty good food! I ordered the oxtail and my boyfriend got the baked fish! We tried fufu for the first time and it was yummy dipped in the stew. I only wish that the oxtail portion was bigger. I only got 5 oxtail chunks and thats not a lot of meat for the price we paid for it. The cabbage was very good though

First . The picture is what I was given from the restaurant , I took the 2 pieces of meat out to see exactly how much egusi I got, did not eat yet .. this meal cost $25 . They put chicken even though I asked for beef only. I ordered this meal for pick up while in Grovetown and drove all the way from Grovetown and it took 30 minutes after getting to the restaurant to get my order .

This is my second time trying this place I enjoy the food it’s great . The first time the egusi was in the same small container but atleast filled to the rim . So I was pleased .

To spend $25 in this economy I need my money worth’s . No one just giving yal money. $25 is paying for dinner in my eyes so do not give me a corner of soup please . I hate to give yal a bad review since yal are new , I was excited about you guys opening and enjoyed your food. I get it its African food it’s foreign so you can charge alittle higher but damn make it count for me I spent $25 and will have to spend some more since this is not even a appetizer more like a sample. I’m starving .

so on the left you have their small portions the fufu is alright sized but the “kassava leaf soup” im gonna save you guys the time and money, its not worth it don’t believe tiktok don’t believe any reviews saying its good, the soup has this sweetish but oily taste no real seasoning or spice to give it any african cultural taste, at this point i will rather stick with the terrible fast food around here locally than ever spending money here again but save your time money and taste buds it doesn’t remotely taste close to kassava leaf soup which ive had plenty times, the photo on the left is their small but terribly portioned and bad tasting imitation of kassava leaf soup which is very much false advertisement and the right is real kassa leaf soup home made from a true liberian.

The food is delicious, I’ve been a few times at this location. My only thing is the portion of food you get for $22 is on small side, (I had the peanut butter soup)and thats my opinion and my co workers said the same thing. The food was fresh cooked to order so be patient as this is not a fast food place. I will definitely go back.

Ill first say that the food tastes great, but for $22 I expected a bit more quantity. Especially when the menu said it came with both couscous and plantains and they called to say it only came with one of the other. They were also 20 mins past my pickup time when I got the food. They were very empty so not sure what caused such a delay. Atmosphere of restaurant was not great and didn’t get any info on when my food would be ready as I waited inside for 25 mins.

Took absolutely forever and after being charged $84 I was only giving one item which was the Equsie soup though extremely delicious the size I was giving should’ve been for a baby literally an infant. Overpriced, terrible service, and the absolute worst portion size known to man

Portions are not worth the price. Paid almost $60 for a bite of food. This is crazy – do not waste your time or money!
