I’ve visited here twice now and I will continue to return for consistently excellent service, coffee, and treats. Huge windows light up the inviting space filled with lush greenery and plentiful tables and armchairs. Lattes are beautiful and lovingly made, and the almond croissant is perfectly crisp and fresh. With excerpts of The Odyssey framed on the wall (my favorite line being “well-garlanded Demeter will love you”) and soothing music floating overhead, it’s the kind of place that reminds you how good it feels to slow down by the shore, especially on what’s left of the remaining hot days of September. A strike of lightning and the coming downpour means I’m going to stay awhile.

Beautiful, large space with plenty of sunlight. The menu is simple, and the coffee was good. It wasn’t busy, so service was quick. My wife and I both got black coffees with two croissants. We were hoping for more of an option with milk and pastries, but were still satisfied. We were able to meet the owner who was very kind and complementary towards our patronage and children.
The space is breathtaking, clean and friendly. We’ll be back.

I love the space since they’ve changed. So much light pouring through, it’s lovely when it’s quiet. Service is a little aloft but things come out relatively quickly, and they’re made well.

I love Odyssey Coffee in its new location on Main Street. Decorated with pages from its namesake, Homer’s Odyssey, Odyssey Coffee has superb coffee and nice baked goods. Ample seating both indoors and outdoors. Beautiful light-filled spaces. I also love the Odyssey Vault, evidence of this place once having been a bank, where local artists can show their work. And the store where you can find the Odyssey (of course) and George Orwell’s 1984, among other books and merch. Since opening, the new Odyssey has rapidly become the town’s new hot spot. The only drawback are long lines, especially in the morning, but well worth the wait.

I only drink regular ol’ coffee, which is very very good here! Tastes great black or with a touch of milk, no sugar needed! I came right at 7am when they opened, everyone was pleasant and they were moving quick! Smelled divine. The ambiance was also super chill.

Joey has outdone himself with the new location! The old bank building has been absolutely transformed into a wonderful space. They’ve combined the historic building and the incredible atmosphere of odyssey into an instant pillar of the community.

Love the new space they’ve moved into. An expansion of their previous location across the street, now with beautiful high vaulted ceilings and gorgeous architecture, merchandise in the front, ample working tables for groups of 2 to 4, one larger table for a group of 6, and in the far back, tucked away with potted plants, is a reading nook with comfy sofa chairs for approximately 10 people and a round 4-peron dining table. Lovely space and great coffee! Perfect for working, reading, or chatting with friends

A Reimagined Classic—Odyssey Coffee’s New Chapter
Odyssey Coffee has always been a cornerstone of the community, and its reopening in a reimagined space only deepens its role as a gathering place for creatives, neighbors, and coffee lovers alike. Housed in what was once a grand old bank, the café now takes full advantage of its architectural history—sunlight pours through the towering arched windows with southeastern exposure, giving the space an inviting, golden-hour glow no matter the season. The old bank vault? Now a gallery, seamlessly blending history with artistry.
Despite an expanded team, Odyssey has kept its signature warmth and charm. The staff is as welcoming as ever, their passion evident in every meticulously pulled shot and velvety pour. Their barista skills? Easily the best on the shore. And the coffee itself—rich, balanced, and brewed with precision—is a constant reminder that this isn’t just another café; it’s an institution.
The atmosphere is a love letter to dark academia, where well-worn books and quiet conversations meet the hum of consistently excellent coffee shop music—the kind that fuels deep thought and sparks creativity. And for those of us who believe a great pastry is the perfect coffee companion, Odyssey never wavers. Their Balthazar selection is always on point, and my go-to, the everything croissant, is an unwavering ritual.
Odyssey Coffee isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s an extension of the community, a place to gather, think, and connect year-round. Their new space honors the past while shaping the future, and we’re all better for it.
