I got a takeaway delivery on 28th Nov 2025. We ordered two mains with rice which was all ok except the Kerala fish curry, which was very oily and seemed to be missing the tomato base. It was a disappointment, as we have ordered this before and it has been really nice. It clearly had not been prepared correctly.

Good menu, friendly staff, decent menu choice. The food was delicious and well presented and they even put out a banner to Mark someone’s birthday. I highly recommend the tender pineapple. The set menu is also a very good selection of several items with decent sized portions. I would absolutely come here again.

We walked in to such a warm welcome.
This Indian restaurant has a great atmosphere subtle decor plenty of seating.
Visiting on a Wednesday evening the restaurant was full.
The food was authentic, well presented and tasted delicious. Great sharing choices at different times of the day from the menu.
Excellent service, not rushed.
Definitely recommend a visit.

We had our staff Christmas ‘do’ here and it was perfect. The amount of food we had for the price was incredible and the staff were so attentive and kept topping up our dishes. It was a great alternative to our normal pub dinner and I’m sure we will be back. Absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for hosting Salkaara.

I had a chicken trio for starters and chicken biryani for mains. We also ordered beers and prosecco for the table.
The starter was good but I wished there was more of it. My friends had the lamb chops, which they also said was good.
The main was good, however, I wish they put a bit more chicken in it. They adjusted the spice level to my liking. It also came with raita. My mates had the Syrian beef curry, which they really liked too.
The food is generally very clean and there’s no oilyness.
We booked for 21:00 on NYE and finished at around 22:30. The staff were really nice considering we were a bit loud, which may have been because we were the only ones there towards the end.
Overall, for Bristol, I’d say it’s a decent Indian.

Had 15 of us there for a birthday and they seemed out of their depth. Not enough settings despite phoning and emailing to confirm. Drinks taking 45mins to arrive. Servers not knowing what they were bringing out: “lamb curry” being shouted when there are about 10 different lamb curries on the menu. We would have liked more attentive service for drinks. Food was good when it arrived.

Excellent food with great flavours. I had the chicken trio starter with payyoli lamb as main. Absolutely superb. Our server, Anil, couldn’t do enough for us. All in all a wonderful experience.
