If you have never been to this place make sure you go in the day time or you will miss it. No lit signage, had a hard time finding it at night and the rain didn’t help. The service was great, the food was plenty but it lacked flavor. Not sure but it was missing something. You know that taste of dang I can’t stop eating flavor. Had the “Goat” and “Oxtails”

This dive will surprise you, I highly recommend that you do not over look Ocho Rios Caribbean Restaurant. If you are looking for a taste of the caribbean or just some really good jerk chicken. Why come to the beach for vacation and eat at the same restaurants you can get back home, look up local eateries and enjoy some really good food. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. This has just come one of my favorite places to eat in Ft Walton.

This place takes you straight to the Caribbean! Good portions at an unbeatable price. The jerk chicken is island spicy so be prepared. I tried oxtail for the first time ever and WOW was it phenomenal, so tender and flavorful. Highly recommend the oxtail and jerk chicken. The plantains were on point, cooked to perfection! The owner was awesome and brought some patties for our long wait… we left stuffed.

This restaurant is amazing. It is in a slightly unconvenient location, and looks rundown, but is well kept and clean on the inside. The customer service is great. I had the jerk chicken with rice and beans and cabbage, which was amazing. The jerk chickens meat was so tender that I didn’t realize it was bone in. The cabbage was good, somehow sweet, and lacking the bitter taste that makes it generally disgusting in my opinion. It was amazing.

Really delicious food. We were the only two people in the restaurant and I would say the service is low key but the guy was nice. I had the jerk pork and it was just the right amount of spice. You could actually taste all the flavors. My companion had the curry chicken and he enjoyed it immensely. We will be back.

I was with a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon. We were waited on and drinks served. Our wait for the food was extended because of limited staff. Since I knew it was a small family run business I was not deterred because I know that the best food comes from places like this. I was not disappointed. My fish was AMAZING, The jerk chicken was well appreciated and the $10 to $12 prices just topped it off well. A great find. I didn’t rate 5 due to the long wait but it was worth it.

I really love the people here and I always want to support their local business. I do however would love if they would have some music inside for dining or make it a little more fun to come in. The food is always good. I ordered jerk chicken. Curry shrimp and curry goat. However last night I got the goat and it was soooo salty as if it was salt itself. Just make sure to taste as you cook 🙂 but it’s a great place everyone should go and it’s not bad priced.

If you’re tired of the same old chain restaurant fare, this is exactly the kind of place you hope to find. The food was excellent—prepared, clearly, with an understanding of Caribbean flavors that only a native could express. The presentation is a little too humble, perhaps, and the environment could be more inviting, but it really is all about the food. You won’t be disappointed.

As Jamaicans vacationing in the area we were really looking forward to some great food. The customer service was great but one of the meals we ordered….Oxtail and rice and peas was clearly spoiled you could smell and taste it. My husband’s meal, curry goat was freshly made. Overall we were really disappointed. We paid for the food anyway because we like to support our fellow Jamaicans. But don’t be like us, speak up if you received spoiled/expired food from this restaurant.
