I am an uber driver and gave a ride to a very friendly Hispanic female to work. After dropping her off, in my car she surprised me with a slice! She was awesome to speak with and extremely friendly, I hope the manager sees this and gives her a raise! Thank you

Last Saturday we brought an awesome autism party of over 25 guests to New York Pizza Dept in Avondale. The staff communicated with me throughout the preceding two weeks to make sure everything was ready. On the day of our party, we called to say we were on our way. They pushed tables together and got a space ready for us. They prepared about fifteen cheese and pepperoni pizza pies for us that were delicious, plentiful and hot out of the oven when we arrived. The staff was highly attentive and made sure none of our guests wanted for anything. If we finished our drinks, the glasses were refilled before we even saw them walk by. They wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and WE DID! Two thumbs up for New York Pizza Dept. in Avondale and their awesome, attentive staff. We WILL be back!

I absolutely love coming here for my lunch breaks. The servers are always so kind to me and others, very attentive to what you ask for, and the building is so comfortable to eat in and relax to enjoy your food. The food is also so so good to me!!! Definitely recommend.

Giving 3 stars for the food, would give 0 stars for the employees and work ethics in this place. First time trying this place and most likely will be the last. If you want a good read and interested in knowing what to expect at this place on a Saturday evening is like, read on. If not, I just might sound like a typical “Karen” and that’s ok too ☺️. I walked into this establishment 5 minutes ‘after’ estimated pick up time. I was greeted by very busy hostesses trying to keep up with pick up orders ( understood)… I was not told how long the wait was going to be but was handed a cup to help myself to a drink for the inconvenience of waiting (cool, thanks). Everything was calm and fine until moment I thought I was making a good decision to take my drink out to my car before they call me and I don’t have an extra hand to carry my 4 pizzas, pasta, 2 salads, vinegar and oil sauces AND garlic knots….mind you, I had been standing there for 20/30 minutes past my pick up time, at the cash register awkwardly with probably 4 other people in the way of other orders ( as they do not have designated seating for people who are waiting for pick ups nor do they tell you to take a seat in dining and they will call you, you’re just in the way of everyone while your order is still being made, as is there’s, so if you’re easily claustrophobic, this place isn’t for you). So as I got to the door to put my drink in the car, I heard them call my name. I was closer to my car than I was the counter at this point so I continued to my car and turned right back around within 20 seconds. When I got back to the counter the lady said she had put my food back already. ( So I stood there for 30 mins, and the moment I’m gone for 30 seconds, this chick puts my stuff back.. like am I not allowed to go to the bathroom or put stuff in my car? So she stuffs everything back in a bag (I have no faith it’s all correct) I take it to my car to pull everything out to see if it’s even all there, the vinegar and oil was spilling everywhere after the waitress played with the bag so much, then to more dismay the garlic knots were missing. I walked back in there, talked to the manager, explained that I was gone for less than 30 seconds and he proceeded to defend his waitress and offend me by assuming I’m a driver and said ” well my waitress just probably thought you were just leaving the food, we have drivers leave on us all the time”. First of all, dont assume that your only customer base entering your establishment is a freaking driver. I was waiting for MY food that I PURCHASED a whole whopping $95 worth, at that. People don’t spend that and need or want things to be missing but somehow, here we are. And that even gets worse. I get home and I spaced to checking if they put the chicken on the “salad pizza” and they didn’t give us the chicken that we are charged extra for, and we didn’t get the ranch that we were charged extra for. First and last time I go there. Do not give these peeps your dough, it’s NOT worth it for theirs…

Their pizza is consistently good and freshly prepared. The lasagna pizza eats like a meal and reheats just as well. I have also tried their salads and desserts. All good!

I love NYPD Pizza. Great Brooklyn style pizza with delicious garlic knots with cheese. The dough is soft and fluffy, the toppings are always perfectly proportioned. The Brooklyn family is my favorite. Have eaten in a few times, always good service, but mostly utilized the carry out deals on Mon and Tues

I did wait an hour for delivery on a Wednesday night. Which seemed odd, however, I’m from out of state and in a hotel so I waited patiently….and boy am I glad I did! I order a my ‘za size with mushrooms, artichokes, ricotta cheese, and fresh garlic on Sicilian crust. As well as their fried cheese, which came with balsamic reduction and marinara. BEST PIZZA! I really recommend getting it. It is worth the wait o promise!
