Sent my husband to pick up take out and he had a difficult time as the restaurant was dealing with issues. He came home and the food was very greasy, the bread was falling apart, and sauces were only half filled. Wished I had more applesauce for my potato pancakes, which I actually liked. We called to rectify and the owner worked with us on it. Hopefully next meal will be the quality we hoped for.

Liked the sandwiches. Matzoball soup was good. Not so much for mushroom soup. Small deli like place. Cooks variety of food. We like to have a lunch there. They cook fast. Tried chicken soup, not tasty. Same goes to latkes. Overcooked, no taste of potato at all. Sour cream and apple sauce were too sour. The only good stuff there for us were sandwiches and pickles. Most likely not coming there anymore unless for sandwiches.

So happy to have given NY Style Deli a try. Ordered a large hot pastrami sandwich plus a hot turkey sandwich for my wife and we both agreed they were delicious. I’ve been wanting a good New York style deli near us for a long time and this restaurant delivers. No more long drives to Edison. I sincerely wish the new owner the best, he deserves your business. Give it a try, I think you’ll be glad you did.

Well people we were very polite nothing could have prepared me for a $45 dollar lunch. Bland is the best way to describe the food. My god I never thought pastrami could have no flavor. They sell by the ounce so don’t expect anything resembling a good sandwich bread you’ll have plenty of bread.

Food is excellent. Prices are extremely high. Everytime I order they forget to include condiments like mustard and Russian dressing even though I ask explicitly. Can’t say enough about the food. Totally comfortable to Harold’s New York deli in Edison or Katz’s in New York.

Just stopped because I’ve been craving a corned beef sandwich. OMG! Amazing sandwich, melts in your mouth, so delicious. Great pickle also. Won’t have to drive to Katz when it hits now! Now to work my way thru the menu. Knish is next.

Took a chance on Pastrami House, delish! Pastrami sliced thin, great flavor, and total yumminess. Potato latkes, Knish, Cucumber Tomato salad, and Hebrew National Bologna all taste like NYC in NJ! Asked for double wrap with our doordashed, impressed came hot! MUST TRY

New ownership is MUCH friendlier. Had potato pancakes & pastrami; both excellent! Would like some more cold tea options

What a wonderful find! Driving by and saw “pastrami” and that suited my mood, so we stopped in for sandwiches. Very friendly folks. We ordered lean pastrami (one of us needed gluten free bread, which they had) and waited for the kind of mediocre pastrami (might actually be corned beef) that we have become accustomed to locally. They brought out pastrami like I haven’t had in decades. Lean, delicious, and certainly not corned beef. As a bonus, they had chocolate egg cream in the soda fountain.
