Nuevo opened in July of 2016 and is located in downtown Cleveland, just steps away from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, First Energy Stadium and the Great Lakes Science Center. Our restaurant offers an unforgettable view of the Cleveland skyline, with an interior decorated to highlight beautiful Mexican design elements such as mosaic tile and bold vibrant colors.
Guests can enjoy a meal in our open concept dining room, on the beautiful patio overlooking the harbor, or plan an event at LAKESIDE – our private second floor event space.
More than just food, our cuisine is our passion, our connection to our friends and family. It is our means to celebrate & express ourselves.
Modern Mexican fare & a long list of tequila offered in a sleek waterfront space with a patio.

There was a natural runoff from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame here to grab food. Saw a lot of other museum patrons there. We took a chance on it.
Service and ambience were nice. Felt like a modern cantina. The food looked well-prepared but lacked flavor. The overwhelming sensations were oily, heavy, and bland. A start would be to salt the meat cuts and the rice. I asked for hot sauce and they brought me a mango habanero sauce. My burrito tasted much better after I drowned it in that. Maybe do the same!
Overall my meal was filling and I enjoyed the convenience of not having to drive somewhere else for lunch. I don’t think I’d otherwise come back or advise others to go.

Wanted an outdoor table, was told they were all dirty. Walked by them on way to bathroom that was not true. Not sure the real reason we weren’t given an outdoor table. Waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged at our table. We ordered two appetizers. The Queso Fundido and Street Corn Ribs. The Queso was very watery and tasteless. The Street corn Ribs were not what we expected plus burned. The margaritas were the saving grace. The spicy mango margarita was fabulous!! The regular margarita was very good as well. The homemade chips were so good! Service was very bad. I would not order a main entree or return based on this trip.

Nice Mexican joint on the waterfront, good atmosphere and service. Food taste great, we had the guacamole and then shared tacos for lunch, which were amazing. The only issue I had was with the corn tortillas, all stuck together, but the servers were quick to replace them with flour ones, which were great. Would 100% recommend

The food was a 4/10. We had 3 waiters because they didn’t know who’s table was who’s, yet they still forgot the kids meal…. We had all eaten so at that point I told them don’t bother. The birrio bowl tastes fishy so if you like seafood hey, but I wanted my beef to taste like beef…. All them seasoned brothers in the kitchen and the food still lacked flavor smh ♀️. I gave a 4/10 for the drinks.

Food: reasonable portion and great taste for the two appetizers that came.
Atmosphere: beautiful scenes and you can literally listened the Browns fans screaming on game day.
Service: BAD! We had ordered a coke, citrus guac, calabacitas and birria quesadilla (exactly in this order). Jaret, our server, may have not heard the quesadilla. He gave us attitude since we ordered our food. He hasn’t come back to our table since our food came (approx. 40 mins). He walked by our table couple of times to serve other tables but totally ignored us. In the meantime, other tables had been served their food and even 2/3 chefs in the open kitchen had been on breaks. He finally came and asked if we are ok. He has no recollection of our order of quesadilla and just said all set. We have no clue what he meant. He had already walked away and we don’t even have a chance to ask. We got our bill but he placed my credit card among a pile of dirty plates. Sure enough, I don’t even have a chance to complain about it.
Don’t come to this place unless you enjoy bad service.

The menu has a wonderful selection of high quality Mexican dishes, and the portions are just right. The prices are very reasonable for food and drinks. I loved my tacos, and they have the best chips! The location is perfect, as it is located very close to the lake and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and sports venues too. I love the clear glass views which brings in a lot of natural light, and the outdoor patio is awesome! Nuevo is an awesome place for lunch and dinner.

Came for dinner. Was able to make a reservation online. Tons of outdoor seating available although we chose to sit indoors. I got the shrimp tacos, my wife got the street corn grits (which she raved about) and quesadilla. Good portions and service was awesome too.

Beautiful location on the waterfront. My 1st time trying a Chimichanga, and I must say hands down the best thing on their menu. Since I’ve tried it, went somewhere else to have the same thing. Hands down no comparison to this place
Will return every time I’m in Cleveland.

Visiting from Texas. Tried the birria quesadilla and it was delicious. Big portions and full of flavor. Even the rice and beans were delicious. Very friendly staff. Nice views of the water and ships.

The food looks good. It doesn’t taste like it looks, out of 7 dishes ordered yesterday at our table, 2 were enjoyed. With an almost-empty restaurant, it took almost 20 minutes for us to get a table. The service was good once we were seated. But then we went to wash up and saw the state of the bathroom, pictures of which I have included here. Overall, we have no interest in returning.
