Who knew back in 1916, when James Mallis opened the first Nu-Way Weiner stand on Cotton Avenue in Macon, Georgia, that he had created a chili dog that would become an eating obsession? The obsession continues today, and Nu-Way still serves the same secret recipe chili sauce and private label weiners. We also feature the famous MegaBurger® and are open early for breakfast. We invite you to try our famous hot dogs and other fine foods at our nine locations in Central Georgia and experience the traditional taste of Nu-Way. The rest will be history…

My husband and I stopped in without knowing the history or what they are famous for. We split a #2 which was 2 dogs, fries and soda. I asked if there were onions and thought she said yes, but no. So I guess I didn’t know they were “chili” dogs. Not that what was topping it was chili, Id call it a fine chopped spiced meat… but I did get some onions from the young lady. The dog was very red, I’ve never seen that before.

The food tasted like it was cooked eight days ago. The food was bad, but the customer service was even worse. I promise you you’ll get a better hot dog at Qlik Trip. Skip this place and just keep going.

Love, love, love this place. I once drove from North Atlanta to this location for chili dogs all the way. Nu-Way is it time honored place to eat either alone or with friends. If you think there’s a better chili dog in Macon, you’re wrong. Lol

This particular location is always available for fast ordering and service. Not ever crowded but I know it gets good business as being on a college campus. Most favorite hot dog place ever

I like the location and the feel of the place, but this location has had semi stale buns the last two times I have been. Never had that at the other locations. Other than that, it has all the wonderful Nu-Way goodness.

First of all this location no longer does chocolate malts. Second, they were not putting the reciepts on the bags so they were just handing people the wrong food. They had to Remake our food because we caught the mistake of them giving us someone’s else’s. After got home they still made the hot dogs wrong. Won’t be back to this location.

Very disappointed. First time I’ve tried Nu-Way. Probably the last. Ordered a scrambled dog and fries. Only cost $9, which is great these days to find anything under $10. Too bad it was awful. They burnt my bun so bad it was completely black. It made the entire plate of food taste like burnt bread. Can’t understand why they would just toast another bun, rather then try to cover it up with Chili. Literally, makes no sense. How much is a single bun? $.25 to $.30 and maybe 30 seconds to toast it. You would rather lose a customer than make their food right. That’s really sad.
