I go out pretty regularly and their wait staff have the best service I’ve had in over 3 years. Not just our waitress but when our waitress was with another table other waitresses came by to fill drinks all with smiles on their faces. Food came out fast and everything was cooked perfectly. They didn’t rush people out but you can get in and out quickly because they even got the food to you pretty fast. Also has a nice quiet family style restaurant atmosphere. Also has a great location near the State fairgrounds and only a few miles from the Renaissance Fair grounds.

The service was AMAZING the food was AWFUL…. I tried a bite from each of my family members Plate. I ordered Chopped Sirloin it was burnt I asked for sautéed Onions they were raw. The Salad was so small like 10 pieces of lettuce small the tomato was the size of a dime. I also tried The Stake and Lobster it was way over cooked very rubbery. I also tried the fried chicken it had zero flavor/seasoning. I should have requested a refund however it was a birthday dinner that I attended so I didn’t want to make a fuss. They only thing that I thought was decent was the bread but really how hard is it to mess up bread. My bill was $74.00 plus just to eat McDonald’s on my way home. Definitely regret not saying something hints the reason for my review. We have heard such good things about this restaurant so I had to give it a try my sister’s a repeating customer and she was disappointed as well said it was her worst experience thus far just wondering if there was a new cook or something but I definitely see the business going down hill if that’s the case.

First time driving by this place, saw the parking lot was packed full at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon…knew right then that they must serve good food. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, it was well worth the wait, they did not disappoint. The food was awesome, the gizzards were the best I have ever had (I’m 70 y.o.), as well as the 4 piece broasted chicken (dark meat), the onion rings, and the taco salad. They have been in business 25 years…now we know why. Love these Ma and Pa owned restaurants.

Disappointed! Our food was amazing but…waiting 25 minutes for our bill is not ok!! I understand it wasn’t our servers fault. There was a huge line to go and only one register??? That’s ridiculous, with so many people running around our server should not have been told to take a huge order on the phone. When we did get our ticket she threw it on the table and ran back over to get back on the phone….then we had to wait again for her to come back. Our to go order for our daughter was cold by the time we got home. I reached out and could see that they saw my message.

Me and my fiancee decided to go here after driving by it several times and the parking lot was always full. We said it has to be good with that level of patronage. We walked in and was immediately greeted, asked how many and was told, follow me. Wow! We went immediately to a booth and was seated. They had a great menu with a huge variety of menu options. We agreed to start with breaded mushrooms with their homemade ranch dressing (amazing taste). The mushrooms were good. We ordered our meals, one steak deburgo, one sirloin and shrimp. We each got a side, her stramed broccoli and me baked potato. We also got a side salad with homemade ranch and house creamy parmesan. It was chopped lettuce which was okay and would have been better with spring mix, but acceptable. We then got our meals, and both were amazingly delicious, cooked to perfection and the shrimp were huge!.
