We just discovered this little gem of Jamaica! Good polite service, tasty food, and amounts are plentiful. A little tricky getting into the parking lot, but that should not deter you! We dined on my favorite dish! Oxtails. Hubby had oxtails, rice n beans, yams, cabbage, and plantains. Of course, he got their homemade sorrel.
I had oxtails, rice n beans, oxtails, cabbage, and plaintains, and I had to try the mac and cheese. I had the house drink, which I believe consisted of lemonade and fruit punch! We also, of course, got our beef patties to go!
If you haven’t been here,I come. by 3011 West Blvd in Charlotte NC and check them out!

The red pea soup was delicious. This place is the place I plan to go to often. The service was amazing! The food smelled so good when I walked in. I told my friends and family about Lawrence! I definitely plan on going back again and again and again.

Come here! Don’t hesitate to try this place. My wife and I stopped here while in the area. The service was great with the staff providing recommendations. The atmosphere was a vibe. The food was wonderful. We both ordered oxtail with plantain and everything was cooked to perfection. We spent around $68 (including tip). We would 1000% return if/when back in the area.

My boyfriend is native Jamaican and makes the best oxtail. I’ve been searching for an oxtail at a restaurant as good as his and Lawrence Caribbean has it!

I got the oxtail/jerk chicken combo plate. Price is reasonable based on other Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to. The oxtail was deep, spicy, and satisfying. It was cooked well and had the gravy to go with it. The rice and beans were also delicious. The jerk chicken was flavored but on the dry side.

When I go back, I’ll definitely be investing in the oxtail only plate!

The soup of the day is ALWAYS DELICIOUS!!! Most Caribbean restaurants in the area only have soup on Fridays or none at all.

Went here for lunch and can absolutely say this place needs to be rated higher. The service was fast and helpful, the menu had plenty of combo or à la carte options, and it all came out in a fairly quick manner. Price was reasonable the only thing I would say is maybe have somebody come out and check in on dining options every now and then to see if there’s anything they need. Other than that atmosphere was good music was great and most importantly food was amazing.

The chicken: it tastes like winning an argument with your boss.
It tastes like the sunrise after winning back all your money and more at the blackjack table.
It tastes like remembering the word that was on the tip of your tongue, and that sweet-sticky satisfaction that the dementia hasn’t consumed you just yet.
It tastes like that moment 30 seconds after a car accident when you realize that you’re completely safe, and it was the Mercedes’ fault.

Went on a Saturday night for the first time. I totally enjoyed my food and will be returning. The rice was a little under cooked but overall the food was good, big portions, the sweet plantains were sweet & I appreciated the sauce on the side. The cabbage was beyond delicious. I’ll have to get a extra side of cabbage next time. That’s how tasty it was.Thank you Lawrence Caribbean for bigging my back on a Saturday night
