My father is quite obviously disabled and it is unfortunately quite common to go out and feel “other’d” or “less than” because of how the server treats us. That is NOT at all the experience we had for lunch yesterday. The food was excellent but the service was absolutely amazing. The hostess and the waiter were extremely respectful. We got to have a normal lunch. Just a father and daughter. Like everyone deserves. Thank you for the excellent time.

Great food, the waitress was very friendly but the lady at the bar refused to give us the second beer. Even if we were still eating for dinner. It was a little late, about 9.10pm but not super late for a place that call themselves kitchen & bar. Ridiculous.

We went yesterday for Easter lunch and we all were disappointed at the food, and none of us ate the full portion. My fish and chips looked like chicken finger and it was blue inside. I couldn’t finish it. The server asked me If I wanted a takeout box. I didn’t want to be rude because it isht her fault the kitchen serves old food, but I really wanted to say ” To take this cat food home? As the plate was seating In front of me, I asked my boyfriend’s sister to swap seats with her because the fish smell was making me dizzy and being seated by the window was super hot. We all kept saying” I’m not impressed , food sucks” . Service was great. I left empty stomach and ate home. I wish food was as a great as the service. I’m not sure if I’ll ever return because I’m from South Shore and it wouldn’t be my first choice of restaurant. Can’t speak for my boyfriend’s family if they would give it another chance. They live just minutes away from this restaurant

NYAJ’s is a solid restaurant. Some of the dishes seem to “try too hard”; some are conceptually off. (For example, I think they’re the only place where I’ve had cucumbers and apples in the same salad. Seasonal mismatch?) Still, I come away enjoying the food, if I don’t think too much about it. Service is friendly and the restaurant is pleasant.

The NYAJs bread is reason enough to come! The warm garlic bread is a wonderful start to the meal. In addition, their constantly changing menu offers variety you won’t find anywhere else.
