While we were in Warsaw, we stopped in a little old-time bar called Nix Horseshoe Bar. It’s a place that the locals come to enjoy a beer or two or a few. It’s a bar that I would be visiting regularly if I lived in Warsaw. There’s just a horseshoe shaped bar with maybe 12 or 15 barstools. They serve only bottled/canned beer, wine and a few other beverages….nothing on tap and no mixed drinks. Very simple to decide what you’re going to have. It’s happy hour all the time! Everything is the same price, just $2.75 each. They have a jukebox that I played lots of old country from my TouchTunes app and all of us at the bar (us and the locals) smiled and sang the words. If you’re ever in Warsaw, don’t miss out on this little gem. If you’re not a bump on a log you’ll have a fabulous time….we sure did!

Came up from Florida to visit family recently this past week. Checked around for places visit and came across this gem. The night we visited was during off hours but everyone there including the owner made us feel right home. Even opened up the outside area with tv and music to let us experience the full effect. That made us feel right at home with the atmosphere in the bar. The homemade goulash was an added benefit to the hometown bar environment. Would absolutely come come again and would recommend to everyone

Classic historic neighborhood bar right out if the 1950s full of local characters around a horseshoe-shaped Formica bar and chrome bar stools. This isn’t pretending to be throwback, it’s the real deal!
They serve only beer and wine and pretzels but no food. Recently changed hands to a local couple with bar and restaurant experience who plan to keep the tradition alive. Stop by for a cold one, but come early because they aren’t open after 9 pm.
