Came here with a group of 15 ladies from church. It was a bit loud inside, but we opted to sit outside at one of the large tables so we could all sit together. The wait staff did a great job with multiple orders and keeping us hydrated with extra pitchers of ice and water. Food was great! I had the cowboy burger and sweet potato fries (and would definitely get that again). Friends ordered pizza, grilled cheese, BLTs, breakfast burger, fish and chips, nachos, and chicken sandwich–we had a lot of variety. Everything was tasty, and delivered in a timely fashion and friendly manner. We weren’t charged “extra” for being a big group with separate checks–that’s a small-town “Iowa Nice” kinda thing. We’ll definitely be back.

This new bar and grill has a super sports atmosphere and upscale for a small town. That was impressive. They have a very good stocked bar with TVs behind it to watch the games. They didn’t seem to know importance of greeting or hosting when you first come in yet but sure their TV bar presence is focus. For some reason I expected better than normal bar food. The fries some like but too hard crispy and salty for my taste. The classic burger there is huge and smash which I like except I would like it more well drained. Toppings were very fresh and good. The wait staff was not into their job with customer service other than looking the part and minimal help. A smile or friendly conversation is good. Overall it should be great for a particular customer niche and glad to see it there.

Very nice family owned restaurants off the High Trestle bike route. My salad was very good and my friend had the tender loin sandwich (grilled) . Was a little loud inside. The restaurant was clean and the service was great.

A little noisy but it is an open brick building so no big deal there. The staff was excellent. Quick to check on our meals, pleasant, in the top 5% of staff we’ve ever had wait on us.

A must if you are on the trail to the High Trestle Trail or finishing out the Gent’s race. We love the Nighthawk and the staff and owner are friendly even to the sweaty bike riders. They provide free water on all the days you need it, and the food has been great on all my visits.

Great location, very busy. Staff tried to keep up with the large Sunday crowd. Beer was cold, but I couldn’t ask for more.

First time to visit. We got there 20 minutes before kitchen was closing early for a private party. Service was a little slow, in spite of them trying to get our order quickly so the kitchen could close. Hamburger and tenderloin were both good. High Trestle salad was good but they left off the boiled egg. Guess the prices of eggs is too high! ☺️ Nachos were not very good, I didn’t like the cheese sauce and the meat was dry. I’ll try something else next time.
