Probably one of the top two ramen spots I’ve had in San Diego. I damn right licked the bowl clean. Noodles were perfectly chewy and broth was just right. Drank every last drop of that broth. They include 15% service charge in all bills so no need to tip. Waitress was attentive and to the point. 100% will return, drooling as I type right now

Nishiki Ramen in Hillcrest absolutely delivered on both flavor and fun! We kicked things off with the Russian Roulette Takoyaki, one of them is secretly stuffed with wasabi, and of course, my girlfriend was the one who got it. Her face was priceless, and it totally set the tone for a playful, memorable meal. For our mains, we ordered the Nishiki Ramen and the Spicy Chicken Ramen, both of which were excellent. The broths were rich and savory, the noodles had great texture. The only thing I could say is the atmosphere/environment could have a bit more decorations or even a dimmer/warmer light. But between the great food, fun atmosphere, and friendly service, Nishiki Ramen has definitely earned a spot in our regular rotation.

Ramen is super oily it makes you sick I told the sister Susy R she did nothing to help except offer to remake with the same oil and do it with an attitude they don’t do substitution and also add a service charge in your bill despite bad service/ramen if you don’t like oily ramen AVOID we literally were forced to pay and this is how we left the bowls FULL

My wife, our three year old daughter and I ate here for the first time after landing on this place as a locally recommended ramen spot. The food was good but not great. I got the Akuma bowl which is the 2nd or 3rd most ordered dish according to the menu, and it was less spicy than I anticipated and also less flavorful than I was hoping. My wife got the Gyokai Tonkotsu, and she didn’t particularly enjoy it. The service also wasn’t particularly great as waters were left unfilled for a while and our request to two different servers for extra plates was never fulfilled despite there being only one other table with guests and three servers working.

Visited on Saturday, 1/24, and the service was unacceptable. Our server, Roy, barely checked on us. Drinks were slow, requests were ignored, and by the time our food arrived, it was cold. It felt like we were completely invisible.
The food might have been fine, but no one seemed to care enough to actually serve it properly. Management really needs to address this. Customers should not leave feeling neglected.

Stay away from this place! They have roaches. We were having dinner and I saw a cockroach running around on the floor and the employee literally killed it in front of everyone. Would give no star if possible. Disgusting! Our water had dirt in it.

I’ll start with the pros,
There teas are amazing and location wasn’t too busy.
There slow cooked eggs slapped! Really yummy. The bamboo shoots had a hint of somthing but i couldn’t figure out what it was. The portions where nicely sized but expected them to be based on the price. The flavors where all there. Pretty delicious.
They are quite expensive when adding extras and parking was a pain to find. They where a bit heavy on the ginger.
Overall if your a college student or someone that money doesn’t come as easy, i would recomend finding an other spot. Not much bang for you buck here. And with covid some tables felt a little too tight, as in they have shields that box you in and its like kinda claustrophobic in a way. I understand they do this to protect others. They do have patio seating but make sure to bring a jacket.
3.7 overall score.

This is hands down my favorite spot for ramen in San Diego! I always go for the Smoke Bomb Black and add Akuma’s hot sauce – the combo is unbeatable, with the perfect balance of flavors. Their chicken karaage is incredible too, super juicy and full of flavor. I’ve brought so many friends here, and every single one of them has loved it. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
