Pretty mediocre and very very overpriced for what you get. Custard comes out soft but melts quickly and the quality is not exceptional. Honestly tasted like they mixed herseys syrup into it. Was $17 for 2 concrete ice creams which is totally not worth it. One of us got a raspberry one and the berries were fresh and tasty but nothing exceptional.

Great classic drive in with sandwiches, burgers, and great custard. The building is really cool, it’s a classic burger joint with walk up windows as well as a drive thru. The drive thru moves quickly, though you have to go park and then they bring out your food. The employees were easy to understand through the speaker and were friendly. It was a young crew of what appeared to mostly be high schoolers, but really professional. The menu offers a wide variety of sandwiches that goes beyond the typical burger place.

Nielsen’s has the best custard I have ever had. Way superior to Culver’s, Bops and Super Chix to name a few. We also ordered a pastrami burger and roast beef grinder with fries and onion rings. All were delicious, but truth be told we really only come for the smooth, creamy custard. I’d gain a bizillion pounds if I ate it too often, so it’s an occasional treat!!!

This isn’t a light hearted 5 stars. Not many places are able to cater to my wife’s gluten allergy, and even fewer make it as good – my wife gets their pint of chocolate custard to keep at home. It’s so creamy you don’t even have to let it thaw before you can scoop it.

I just had the worst experience I can remember at a fast food restaurant at this location. I spent over $24.00 for three concretes. I went through the drive through which went fine and was asked to pull forward into one of their designated parking spots to wait. It took almost five minutes for the first two to come out. The lady that brought them out mumbled something, handed them to me and left. They were in cups that were completely too small to hold the contents and already dripping into the cardboard cup holder. The napkins were neatly tucked into one of the cup holder’s pockets and completely useless since they were already trying to soak up the melted mess. The third one didn’t appear until I asked the next employee that came out about it. He at least apologized and promptly brought me another dripping mess in a cup. You know they know there is an issue when the overflowing cup is wrapped in over an inch of napkins to try to hold back melted contents from getting all over your hand. So now I get to drive home (only five minutes thankfully) holding the last dripping cup while the cup holder tries to bravely hold in the puddle of melted custard. The cup holder’s valiant efforts were in vain and the passenger seat was now acting in reserve to keep the melted contents contained in a somewhat local area. When I got home I put them in the freezer and then got to spend the next twenty or so minutes cleaning my car. Shame on me for not saying something before accepting the slop, but what a crying shame the employees think this is okay and normal. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here. You are much better off going somewhere that understands frozen treats should be frozen. Dairy Queen Blizzards, McDonald’s McFlurry, and the king of concretes at Culver’s. They are much better and you will get to enjoy them rather than curse under your breath while cleaning your car. Eff off Nielsen’s!

I was taken there and I hadn’t been there since I was 7 years old. I was actually pretty excited and looking forward to my experience.

Love the concretes and fries! Can’t give the five stars though because they don’t sell chicken strips 🙁

Always a favorite for everyone! Rich and creamy custard with hundreds of flavor combinations. The lemon concrete is simple and amazing! I love chocolate with caramel! Burgers and fries are also excellent. A bit pricey but always delicious and hits the spot.

Burger, fries, and concrete were great! The price for concrete is a little steep.
