The food was amazing, the vibes great. I did subtract a star for the service, only because it took awhile before being served. Me and my husband dined in on a Saturday night, so most of the wait staff were upstairs.
We got a real good lay of the land from the staff on the best days to visit for wing night, weekday specials, etc. Well worth every single penny, and the food portions were pretty huge for the price. Hopefully this place becomes super popular and they can hire some more people to serve solely the first floor.
Beautiful decor! Everything was a 5/5 otherwise! I wanted to pick up a book, but didn’t know if that was allowable. They had an impressive selection all along the walls, as well as artwork.

Nick’s on Hilltop in Mt. Oliver is such a cozy neighborhood gem — dining space downstairs, bar upstairs, and all the warm, welcoming vibes !
Built on the strength of the Steel City, Nick’s brings together local flavor and community spirit in every dish they serve. I love how involved they are in the community and the fun events they host — it really adds to the charm!
Their fall cocktail list was incredible — I tried thePumpkin Spice Martini, Hilltop Harvest Sangria, and NA Dave’s Lemonade all so good.
They’re known for their famous Troomy Sauce, so of course I had to try a few dishes featuring it! Thepickle chips with Troomy sauce were perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the loaded fries were the ultimate shareable — waffle fries piled high with peppers, onions, cheese, steak, and more of that amazing sauce.
The Honey Nut Bacon Salad was another standout — light, fresh, and full of flavor. And the Chicken Parm Sandwich? So good, especially with their homemade marinara.
Nick’s also offers weeknight specials, has street parking available, and is just an all-around great spot for good food and good vibes.

i can’t say enough good about this place. super nice wooden tables, chairs and bookshelves. which hold a great assortment of books. chuck palahnuik, ken kesey- and they are free to borrow. community oriented. the food is stellar. we had the cheesesteak fries and the cheesesteak sandwich and both were delicious. service was excellent, attentive and conversational, bc we were inviting said conversation. i’m sure that she was able to read each tables level of desired interaction. anyway, we will definitely be back whenever we pass through town again.

This newly opened black and woman owned restaurant is wonderful! It’s the cutest aesthetic inside with the books and exposed wall and wood! It’s cute modern and cozy! The food was wonderful we had a friends lunch and so split all the food! We got the cauliflower bites, chili sauce wings, chicken pepper fries and a smash burger! Everything was perfect and delicious. The staff was friendly and took time to explain things to us about our options and what we were ordering. We also got the ginger lemonade which was refreshing and crisp. Upstairs is also well decorated and has a bar. I loved this place and will be back

Outstanding to say the least!! We just returned from two weeks in Tuscany and always feel a bit saddened by the difference in food quality when we return home. BUT.,,,,! We were very happy with our food and said it could have been back in Italy!!! It looked fresh, it felt loved!! It was great! And we drove an hour to get there!!!! Outstanding to say the least…..!

Food was edible. That’s the one pro this restaurant has going for it. Other than that we ordered the pretzel sticks and it was the most oily buttery mess served with what was thought to be a dipping cheese sauce but was just melted butter and Dijon. After that came 2 burgers one chicken burger with dry unappetizing chicken slathered in another sauce and another bacon burger which was decently okay and edible. After that we additionally ordered loaded fries which came out and were okay the entire service of these 4 easy dishes many parts of which I presume to be ready made such as the pretzel sticks and the fries in all dishes took nearly an hour. Additionally while the restaurant looks new and modern from the outside it is rundown an old and decrepit inside with the majority of the population being that of a senior home as well as service done by one individual who’s kids ran around the restaurant the entire night. The music scene is also unsightly for the atmosphere that is supposedly trying to be built and takes away more from the starved and empty allure of the restaurant. Finally the decor and aesthetic of the restaurant reminds one of a Pinterest board which vomitted all over the establishment. Utterly infuriating. This is not to mention the scam and ripoff which this premade food was charged for with these 4 dishes totaling to over 60 dollars. I’ve never been this mad at a dining experience in my entire life if I could give this a zero I would.

I can’t say thank you enough to Megan, Mo, and the rest of the team a Nicks. I hired them provide bar service for my wedding and they did so much more. From the little touches like the custom menus to your staff infectious attitude it was all amazing.
If you’re looking for a team to help make your special day, I strongly recommend Nicks for bar service and catering.

My daughters took me to this restaurant for my 50th birthday dinner. One of the owners by the name of Dwayne went out of his way. To make sure that I had excellent service. He had a table with ballowns a card waiting for me. My daughter told him that this was my fiftieth birthday, and he got me a cake and I had free drinks. The staff and manager are very friendly and accommodating. A staff named Terrence sang me a birthday rap He made on the spot, I had really nice time

Went to Nicks on a Sunday, and it was empty (literally myself and another couple) which I don’t mind. The customer service was good they were nice but it took an hour and a half for a burger. The drinks were just okay. Oh and I planned to come for brunch which they advertise that they have and they don’t have brunch.
