Came here for our first time, the atmosphere was great upon walking in.. a older gentleman playing an acoustic guitar, singing.. i ordered the seafood platter, the food tasted pretty good but the portions were small. As you can see… & i asked one of the waitresses that walked past our table maybe 10 times, to refill our drinks and she rudely said shed get my server who was actually busy with other tables… even tho she was headed in the direction of the drinks! So other than that, & the potions… it was good, but probably wont be back… you can go to LTS CATFISH in purvis ms & get the same food but WAYYY more & prices are better at LTS as well. Where i spent 50 here and didnt even get any appetizers. At LTS i spent 54 & got 2 apps & 2 meals… & enough to bring some home….

The restaurant was nice. There was a single acoustic guitar singer there. Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive. We got the Fried crab claws as an appetizer they were ok. My son got the chicken strip platter and my husband got the seafood platter with two sides. I got the 2 boiled lobsters with 2 sides. One would have been plenty. Our server told us they were huge and I thought she was just talking about the lobster tails. I was wrong. When she brought my plate to me my eyes were huge there were 2 ginormous maine lobsters on that plate. And for dessert the fried cheesecake is the BOMB!! We enjoyed our meal and we will be back

This place is definitely worth your time going too. The blackened Catfish and fried shrimp was delicious. The blackened Catfish was some of the best I have ever had. Service was great. It doesn’t look all fancy but the food and service is fantastic

You should eat here. The atmosphere was family friendly and they had live music. All the waitstaff were so very friendly. And the food! Oh my… I ordered the oyster po’boy it has 6 large oysters perfectly fried in a delicate batter, the bread was everything it should have been for the po’boy. The boudin balls were just the right amount of spicy. Dear goodness the hush puppies and queso, the hush puppies were light and the queso had shrimp in it. Oh and the Mac and cheese was thick and cheesy. The fried items were all divine. Next time I will need to try the blackened fish or all you can eat crab.

My wife and I had never eaten at Newt’s so we decided to give it a try. We had a very short wait (probably less than 10 minutes). Upon looking at the menu, there were many appetizers that sounded really good, we chose to skip an appetizer. There are a lot of options on the menu. I saw steaks delivered to several tables and the steaks looked really good. My wife ordered the boiled shrimp with red potatoes and corn on the cob and she said they were really good. I ordered the seafood platter that came with two catfish filets, 4 fried oysters, 4 fried shrimp, and a stuffed crab with two sides (I chose fried okra and turnip greens). The food was really good!! The staff were very friendly. We had a great experience at Newt’s and we’ll definitely be back to try some of their other options.

The foot was very tasty, small portions of coleslaw(VERY SMALL). The waitresses that assisted our table was very rude, condescending and out right racist! You could see the difference in serving the people who looked like them( wait staff) and those who didn’t. One of the waitresses thought she should let my party know that the salad bar was not complimentary(* nasty tone and delivery) when all she had to do was NICELY divulge that salad would be an additional charge…just rude. Although the cook was good at his or her job, the wait staff was a complete turn off to where my first and last time visiting this establishment! RockyCreek could teach the wait staff a thing or ten!!
