This is my favorite place to go for sushi and hibachi. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, the food is wonderful and at a good price. If you’re visiting Newport, you definitely need to go try it. Dishes featured are Baby Tako, Spicy Crab Roll, Shrimp and Scallop Hibachi and the Dinner Box.

Came here specifically for the Hamachi Kama (yellowtail jaw). Ever so slightly dry on the exposed meat side. Could have been taken off the broiler a minute or two early. Pefect amount of broiler time on the skin side. Perfectly crispy skin. Succulent meat on the inside. I would have preferred it to be seasoned a little so if you’re a purist than this is perfect for you.
Just tried the Nobu Roll. If you like asparagus than this is for you. Would have preferred one less asparagus and a little extra tuna for the price.

Not bad, but not great either. Ended up spending over 25$ on some ramen and a beer. The ramen was ok, but it had an odd smell when it initially came out. Not worth 20$. The atmosphere was sort of confusing because of the hibachi grills that were on the other side of the lobby. The servers were great and everyone else seemed happy and it was relatively crowded for a Tuesday night. I might be giving it a higher rating if I had tried their other food items. As it stands, it barely deserves a three with the food I experienced. Probably will not return.

My family stopped by recently while vacationing in Newport. The hibachi chef was not only skilled but also incredibly entertaining, keeping everyone at the table laughing and engaged. The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly right in front of us. The hostess made us feel welcome from the start and was especially wonderful with the kids, making the whole experience family-friendly and fun. We can’t wait to come back!

Came here as a big family table and was served in efficient time. Everything we ordered both sushi and cooked plates were tasty and fresh. Sushi were good sized cuts for the nigiri and the rolls were great texture, filling and just as we had hoped. Service was on point and appreciated. Observing as we left the restaurant, they appear to do a fair amount of takeout if that is your jam.

Superb customer service and excellent cuisine. The sushi is prepared fresh, on demand, with expert care, and beautiful presentation. The restaurant has plenty of seating and can easily accommodate larger groups. Parking can be quite difficult during the evening and weekends, as is for any restaurant on Broadway. Highly recommended for families, business professionals, and for those looking for great sushi and warm sake!

Saw that it was five years since my last review here. And here we are, five years later, still returning regularly. This is a hidden gem just off the beaten path in Newport. Great food, good service, and consistent. Tonight they put a special Valentine’s Day treat in front of us that was awesome. Visit.
