I recently placed an Uber Eats order to be delivered to me at the hospital post surgery. I called in abd spoke to Miss Naja after placing my order with a small request. Miss Naja not only knocked it out of the park but in a very kind hearted gesture sent me a small get well soon note with my order that absolutely made my day after suffering an amputation. That small act of kindness changed my day completely. Thank you Miss Naja for your hard work, excellent service, and kind heart!

This Newks is the best! The place is bright and clean, the workers appear to be happy to be there and the food is always top notch! It’s displayed nicely on your plate/bowl. It’s just a great place. They also have pizza and soups! Excellent sweet tea and Coke products

Newk’s at McGowin Park location in Mobile, AL is the best! Friendly staff! My mom is a cancer survivor and is on a soft-palate diet so she is limited on what she can eat on a daily basis. She loves the lobster bisque and we get it for her several times a month. They have even sold us the large bags of it so that she can have it several times a week. She celebrated her birthday at Newk’s for the past two years. Thank you so much for the hospitality and kindness with great service. You literally helped my mother enjoy food again.

I’ll be there first to admit I went in there with a snarly, bitey attitude. The fact their soda fountains were out of service didn’t help (how do they let the machines run out of
carbon dioxide?).
Plus, they were unloading food right by their outside seating, so we could barely hear anything over the running truck. At least until it pulled away.
Anyway, one shrimp and avocado salad (hold the feta, add a salmon filet) and several large sweet iced teas later I was in a _much_ better place.
The food was good, the staff nice and worked hard despite being overloaded.
I’ll go again, and I hope the straighten out the soda fountain issues.

not the fastest service. Salads were good and the cup of soup or Chili was nice sized. I had the 1/2 and 1/2 and was disappointed in the small 1/2 sandwich appeared to be about 4 inches long.

Came in from out of town I eat at Newk’s in Houston,Texas all the time and always order the French Dip. I decided to try this location since I’m in Mobile, but I was really disappointed. I saw employees with facial hair working around food without proper covering, and I also noticed people not washing their hands workers smelling like marijuana It felt very unsanitary and unhygienic. I probably won’t return to this location because of how uncomfortable it made me feel.

Went around 1:30pm, they weren’t very busy, service was fast and employees were friendly. All the tables were clean and the place felt welcoming. The food was great, only complaint was, I couldn’t eat all my food!

Newk’s has turned out to be one of wife’s favorite eateries and she eats here regularly. This was my first time and I didn’t really have any expectations. If I was to compare Newk’s to someplace else it would be Panera Bread. Being that I’m a fan of Panera, one wouldn’t be surprised that I enjoyed our visit to Newk’s.
After taking a quick look at the menu, I decided on Newk’s Q with their pasta salad and my wife chose the Chicken Bacon Club. We both enjoyed our sandwiches and I was pleased to find that the pasta salad wasn’t drowning in Italian dressing or vinegar yet had plenty of flavor.
Our meals arrived in a timely fashion and without issue.
