I ordered the pick 3 deal with a soup, salad, and sandwich as a takeout order. There were no utensils or napkins provided so I could only eat 1/3 things I ordered. I saw there was a Publix near me so I went to their deli and they gave me utensils for my soup and salad. Food was just okay. Pretty disappointing experience overall. But hey, sometimes you just need a reminder for why you don’t eat at some places anymore.

I’ve had the Caesar salad many times before and tried it today. Much of the lettuce I couldn’t eat because it was brown, hard and old. So I ended up with 1/4 of a salad. My husband couldn’t eat his at all. Very disappointed.

While on our day date my wife and I stopped in for a bite. Be prepared to take a few steps as it is located in a shopping center and the parking lot is shared. My wife who loves Pizza Chef in Florence says that her sub was equally desired from Newks. I vied for the spicy shrimp pizza with cauliflower crust. (The crust was a little darker than desired). Options for sugar free drinks were diet Coke, diet Dr. Pepper, and Splenda sweet tea with. We started with the tea and quickly switched to the soda options. Overall we enjoyed our first visit and the service was commendable. We will definitely visit Newk’s in the future if the Lord allows.

We stopped here for lunch today because we used to love eating at Newk’s when we lived in Hot Springs several years ago. Although the employees were very friendly and helpful, unfortunately, the food was only mediocre. The Tomato Basil soup was extremely salty, and I was unable to eat all of it. My Strawberry salad had so many onions that it was hard to taste anything else. My husband had a Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich, and he said it was dry and didn’t have much flavor. For the meal we had…1 full sized sandwich and a half salad, plus one half salad and a cup of soup, plus 2 drinks…..it was almost $40. We thought that was a little pricey for the quality of the food. The other disappointment was that they apparently no longer offer the “round table” which used to have condiments, roasted garlic, and various items to enhance your meal. Now, they only have breadsticks……Sadly, we probably won’t go back.

I wasn’t thrilled about Newk’s. They did not have very many vegan options, so I opted for the Greek Salad with no feta. The Greek Salad was uneventful, just an average salad. On a good note, the gentleman who delivered the food to the table was very friendly and pleasant.

This is a great little sandwich and pizza shop, with multiple locations here in the Rocket City. There is plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating is plentiful, and free refills on drinks! Ordering is easy, food comes quickly, and it’s a good little vibe. There are male and female bathrooms with no gender neutral bathrooms (insert sad face here), or changing stations.
I ordered the Mediterranean Pizza with the cauliflower crust (up charge of course, because it’s healthy), and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich with fruit on the side. Both were delicious and highly recommended!

Busy place!! Came here for lunch and there were lots of people but the service was very fast and food was so fresh! Also very reasonably priced, I got the Newk Q sandwich with a pasta salad side and a chicken Cobb salad (food for 2) and it came to $21. It was my first time eating at Newks and I was impressed, I will be back!

My son and I decided to try this location on University Drive we were on Fall break. The fact that it wasn’t crowded when we arrived was awesome. The cashier was very friendly. The food arrived quickly and it was good. I ordered the Newk’s Q sandwich with a salad. The only problem is that the salad wasn’t as fresh as it in at the Whitesburg location.

Food was tasty, and there was lots to choose from. I opted for pick 2 and chose a Mediterranean pizza and Greek Salad. Definitely large enough portion for 2 people to share, as I ended up taking half my pizza home. The Greek salad was very tasty and had lots of toppings in it!
They have bread sticks to go w your soup or salad, and they were yummy, too!
And their drink cups! They are thick and have a cute design. I’ll have to find lids to go with it.
The only negative note I have, is some of their seats were worn, to the point where I was scratched on the side. The furniture looked old and worn out..
