The Newhall Press Room is an intimate contemporary restaurant that prides itself on having a large selection of wines by the glass. We maintain a scratch kitchen, wine education events, and a loyalty program. Opening in November 2017, we expanded our menu to include main dishes such as steak, and hand-crafted pasta dishes. In addition, the community voted us the 2018 and 2019 Ultimate Wine bar (with a full kitchen) plus we were recognized with an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine 2019/20/21. Wine was made to be enjoyed with great food so come down and pair a glass of wine with exquisite cooking. See you soon!

I came here last Thursday afternoon to enjoy dinner and some wine. I hate to give anywhere 1 star and I have visited this restaurant before and I remember it being quite good. However, this experience needs to be shared. My husband and I ordered the pork belly appetizer to start. There was only one other party dining in there at the time. After waiting about 25 minutes the waitress said that it will be out shortly and that she was having the cook add more sauce to it. About 10 minutes later it finally came out. My husband and I took our first bite and it was cold! Like cold as in it wasn’t cooked. It was strange because it looked cooked. However, we aren’t ones to complain so we kept eating. We picked up our second piece and underneath it was an almost dead FLY!!!! It moved and then completely died on our plate. I almost threw up and suddenly felt so nauseous thinking about the raw pork and then dead fly underneath it. I informed the waitress and she took down my phone number for the manager to call me. Several days have gone by and no one has called me. I don’t know what is going on in the kitchen but please be aware and trust your gut when you think something is wrong with your food. I was there for happy hour and found a delightful choices of wine at an affordable price. The service there was really good as she gave me a couple tastes until I settled on the one I wanted. I was not a big fan of the limited choices for the food but I’ll reassess that the next time that I go. The menu overall looked really good and again, the service was very very good.

Wonderful dinner, experience, and wine. Highly recommended, will definitely be back. Service friendly and attentive, excellent for food and wine. We had a cheese plate, the fettuccine, mussels, and two of the small plate salads. All extremely good. A little noisy – maybe more so because we were seated in a corner, but that was the only slight negative.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This is our favorite date night spot. If you have a craving for great wine, food, atmosphere, and most of all the amazing staff, then this is it. It’s my second home away from Los Olivos and Paso Robles. the reviews must be inflated at this place. the food was underwhelming, wait was terribly long, and place was crowded and loud. hard to enjoy your dinner in such a setting. would recommend looking elsewhere for your dinner plans.

Enjoyed another lovely evening out with friends. The staff is lovely and attentive. Come to one of their special wine/champagne events with food pairing. Chef Sabina is amazing at pairing the right wine with food.

The ladys here are amazing! Attentive, warm, and knowledgeable about the wines they offer. Large selection to choose from on both the wine menu and food menu. We spent roughly 2-3hrs here eating and drinking and enjoyed it greatly.

On Main Street, this is a nice place for a glass of wine or a good meal. They have a large variety of wine by the glass. There is a sidewalk patio if you wanted to be outside. Give it a try!
