Orange chicken and sesame chicken is good. Pepper beef is delish. He keeps new items roasting from time to time. If you’re not expecting a 5 star China Town , great gramma cooked my dim sum you will like this place. Their portions are the biggest in Ventura and their Low mein is probably the most tasty around. I don’t buy the rice because I can steam my own white rice but his rice ain’t bad at all. Been going here for 10 years now. Even my gramma liked it.

3rd time going here & never again after buying 3 combos with expired rice (the smell was bad) it was slimey and sticky (watch video). Rice shouldn’t look like that. We couldn’t finish our food Threw it all away!
I Didn’t try to go back after reading all the reviews. Posting this for awareness, avoid this place at all cost.
Took the video of the day it happened. (8-18-2025)

I’m writing this review because I think the current 3.6 star rating is too low. Ordered the combination chow mein special. Their chow mein has that classic wok cooked stir-fry taste I love. Not sure what the bad reviews are about. The price is reasonable, and the service was good and fast.

Rude and disrespectful behavior from owner or worker. I came in here cool trying to simply buy food, Food looked below average . I believe it was the owner being rude and raising his voice cause I asked what’s the price for chow mein and fried rice only , but not a full plate because I wasn’t going to finish it all myself .
He said it’s on the board but nothing mention for that. After telling him that I don’t see it 3 times he snapped being rude and raising his voice. He then said 7.99$, that wasn’t on the board but anyway , couldn’t he just said that in the first place. Also I was the only customer there , it wasn’t busy .

This will be the last time I come to this place . Food did not look appealing only the chow mein looked alright .

This guy has something going on , seems like I’m not the first review to mention him being rude and aggressive to customers .

Worst buys , spent $50 on two plates and side chow mein . Food was nasty and dry . And the restaurant was way too hot to sit and dine in. This place has gone down the hill . Used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants and now it’s the worst option. Food used to be tasty and delicious now it’s dry and nasty.. I hate writing this review but I hope owner/management fixes this asap and changes back to the way this place was 10 years ago

I got the BBQ pork and sweet and sour chicken noodles and rice. The chicken was ok. The noodles were so greasy and the rice was way too salty. I took two bites of everything and threw it away. Gross!! Waste of money!!

Teriyaki is very dry. Orange chicken is not spicy which we liked but not very good. Chow mein was nothing special, let’s just say we didn’t keep any leftovers. Not sure if it was a Sunday thing but disappointed in the food. Pricing was great though! 3 combo plate for $15 and you can see what you’re getting, just might have been sitting out all day

The food is good I don’t see why there are so many haters. I must admit that the orange chicken needs to be crunchy but as for the charge for the debit card that’s normal bring cash if you want to save. The owner is a good guy I haven’t had any issues. Maybe he is tired from working long hours. The food taste good and he gives bug portions.
