Staff is always friendly, efficient, & extremely accommodating. No matter what time of day, even close to closing, they never make you feel rushed or unwelcome. The food is always excellent, especially after you have had a hard day yourself. A real “homey” atmosphere. Generous portions & good selections. My favorite words to hear from my husband is “let’s go to New Horizon”. I drop anything I’m doing & can’t get out the door fast enough. You also never feel overdressed or underdressed, with limitations, of course, lol. All are welcome.

Honestly food was good but very standard. If you’re looking for a quick and simple go to meal this might be your place. The service was okay didn’t feel welcomed unfortunately and almost like we were being rushed out of there. The place was comfy and calm.

This was a great Breakfast place for Walt and I. Everything was great, eggs, the Hash browns was the real shredded potatoes Hash browns. The Steak was Hugh and very tender. The Pancakes were great also. Don’t let me forget the Service, the Lady who waited on me was so beautiful to me. Thanks to the Cook and the Lady who Service me. This was our first time ever coming here. But not our last.

Shop local !! If you have not tried New Horizon on aprox.. 147th and Central you are missing out! Their portions are huge and the quality is outstanding! And SO affordable!Being a good cook myself it is hard to go out to eat because so many places are just not good but every time we eat here I’m always amazed at how consistently delicious it is! We have tried a few other breakfast places in Tinley/ Orland and nothing compares. At New Horizon the price, portions and quality are top notch. No I do not work here and am not affiliated at all… just LOVE good food. Such big portions we all had enough leftovers for an entire meal again. Looks like they also just updated their menu . When we walked in someone was gnawing on this huge turkey sandwich on their thick Greek homemade bread so now I’m dying to go back and try some of the new lunch items. They have pasttitsio on the menu tonight and definitely gonna have to give that a try on carry out so we can all nap afterwards

Nobody seemed to care of providing me service at all When the waitress Cindy finally came to the table and gave me the menu, she left me waiting for So long still , I finally decided to leave the place , It was Such bad experience is it because I’m Hispanic I don’t know, but I was hungry and just need to be serve some warm food . That was not nice at all … that was my experience at Horizon

Cute little family restaurant. It’s been around forever. Friendly staff and clean inside. Decent prices, decent selection to choose from on the menu. The food was delicious and the lemonade was made just right. And they have Saganoki I’m sure that’s spelled wrong, but gotta love it when places have it. We will definitely go back again.

Texas toast slices were as big as…Texas!
Two eggs here looked like four eggs elsewhere.

The only thing that isn’t big is the pricing, which makes New Horizon one of the best values around.
Service here also excels. My pancakes came already buttered – no other place I know does that.
Just south of 147th and Central, New Horizon is easy to find and hard to forget.
