Food was amazing. I’m up from Kansas City with my daughter’s softball team and decided to grab a bite. I had the Chori Pollo and it was fantastic! Could have used a bit more pineapple and the chicken was a teeny tiny bit dry but the flavor was great. Plenty of guacamole. Hot salsa is hot but has great flavor. Portion was generous. I left satisfied and glad I came. If I’m up this way again I’m definitely stopping by.

Service was great, and food was tasty! We all ordered off of the lunch menu, portions were great without being huge for a fair price.
They did mess up and order, but corrected it without a fuss. There is a pretty decent sized vegetarian menu, and it wasn’t hard to make a dish vegan.
The restaurant was cute, and it was clean as well. We’ll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed the restaurants design. They had really colorful artwork and it was pleasing to the eyes. The food came out very quickly and I got a lot for 15$. Two whole plates worth. I ordered one of the big combinations and it was great.

For those who have read my reviews previously you know I love Mexican food. Had not eaten here before today, boy did I miss out. By far the best salsa and chips of all those visited previously. The carnitas salsa verde were divine. Succulent and tender with subtle heat it doesn’t get any better. Top it off with actual authentic corn tortillas and superb rice and beans. This will be my go to from now on.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Des Moines since they were at their previous location. I am so glad that they were able to reopen after the flood! The food is excellent today as it always has been. They have tasty hot salsa and all of their dishes are flavorful and bountiful. You get a lot of food for the price and the food that you get is really good. Highly recommend!

This was by far the worst Mexican restaurant experience I have ever experienced. First off, the chips and salsa.. tomato juice salsa, and your first “hot dog” basket of chips is free, but want any more and you’ll pay $6.25! Unbelievable! The food was the absolute worst, flavorless junk we had ever had. Nothing had flavor. NOTHING! Of course, it was more expensive than any other Mexican restaurant in the area. The margaritas had no alcohol in them as well. The only thing we liked about the place were the cool booths and chairs, but that certainly won’t bring us back. I almost wish I could take anyone leaving a positive review to small claims court for fraud! Horrible!

This comfortable local restaurant is a place we eat at a couple of times per month. It always has quick, friendly service and delicious food. It must treat its employees well because the same people have been serving us for years. The prices are reasonable as well.

Used to eat here all the time. The service has gone down hill. The past few times I have been there they only fill your chip basket about half way up, then when you request another one, they say they have to charge you for more chips. (Even if you have ordered cheese dip or guacamole) No other Mexican restaurant charges for chips. That has happened multiple times and it usually creates a scene. Last time I visited was the last straw for me. The food is great, but the service sucks. They need to be more friendly and attentive to their customers. They would probably get bigger tips if they were. Probably too stupid to figure that out though.

Wow, best Mexican I’ve had in a while! Everything was a better version of the Mexican restaurant regulars. Incredible enchiladas, filling was well flavored. Poblano was a style I haven’t had but HAD to finish, best on the plate. Very friendly, attentive host and server. It was a random stop but will be back, obviously recommended!!
