I work down the rd from there and go there for lunch, usually buy 4or5 egg rolls and
my favorite General tso chicken no spice.
Was there yesterday 10/23/2025 and had General Tso’s aka (General Chows Chicken) and it was absolutely delicious.
People there are friendly ,great clean place to eat and relax unwind for an hr.
Gets better everytime I eat there. Pics later

The serving sizes are huge for the price—love that for me lol. The egg rolls were massive and super tasty. I even reheated one in the air fryer the next day and it stayed crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—impressive! I’m giving 4 out of 5 because I’ve had better Chinese food elsewhere, but this was still really good, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

1st time visitor today and won’t be back. The hot and sour soup had no spice & no sour. I ordered chicken lo mein and although the portion was huge (did not need rice AND noodles) it will make you go blind looking for the chicken and the flavor wasn’t good at all. I ate maybe 1/3 of a cup. My husband got Mongolian beef and he ate about 1/4 of it which is unusual for him. The egg roll was soggy – def not fresh fried.

Just moved here, & I’m so thankful I found this hidden gem! I looked up over 20 places, & I didn’t see what I wanted on the menu I’m so thankful I called in and asked if they have Tofu & they did! I made my own spicy Tofu with broccoli and add a side of brown sauce (which is the best & great size) They have the best prices in Hoover! This will be my only to go spot for Chinese food. It’s well worth the drive in a very beautiful neighborhood to the plaza. One of my favorite things is the crispy noodles they make there’s fresh. I will be getting food here weekly very generous with the portions. I highly recommend everyone try this spot, & if you don’t see something on there menu just call & ask. Hidden gem thank you so much for the wonderful food. Thank you for always remembering me as soon as I call in.

It’s a bit chaotic inside but it’s a pretty authentic Chinese fast food restaurant, our call in take out order was processed quickly. Value is excellent for the price, you end up with heaping portions of food enough to last you a few meals.

Best Chinese around! They are the nicest folks around. At this point I feel like they know who I am as soon as I walk in just based off my order.

I would eat here every single day if I could. The chicken with garlic sauce is one of my favorites. The service was also amazing, prompt, and so kind and helpful.

I gave this place 2 visits over the past 3 weeks.

First visit I had the Mongolian Beef lunch. It comes with an egg roll and soup. Visually I wasn’t excited about the Mongolian beef but thankfully it tasted better than looked. Not the best Mongolian beef I have had but it was ok. Needs more flavor. They mark it as spicy but there’s 0 spice here which is disappointing because the dish could use something to lift it. Soup was really good. Egg roll and rice were both ok. Nothing special there.

Second visit. I ordered the Mongolian Chicken. Just wanted to change it up some. Of course it comes with an egg roll and soup. This time the experience was a little different. The Mongolian chicken still didn’t look great, but this time the taste was even more bland. I didn’t even finish the dish. I took one bite of the egg roll and got this weird taste like it was made days earlier. Trashed that. Soup was still pretty good. Unfortunately that was the best part of the dish and the only part really worth eating.

I plan to give them another chance next week and order something other than Mongolian and see if I get better results.

First trip was like an 8. Second trip was like a 4.

This was my first time coming here after visiting the new Piggly Wiggly. I ordered the Mongolian delight and added mushrooms. I upscaled the rice to fried for a dollar more but could have been satisfied with the plain white rice. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes and it was. The Mongolian delight was good but the chicken was breaded and popcorn size. This wasn’t what I was expecting and not my preference for my chicken. I will order the Surf and Turf next time or maybe request the chicken not to be breaded if that is even possible.
